Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu is a southern Chinese martial arts style that was made famous by Jet Lee and many other martial arts tournament fighters. This traditional martial arts style is largely considered the original MMA. Choy Lay Fut is well-known for its long-range hand techniques, useful when fighting multiple opponents.
The speed, agile footwork and a wide range of weapons make it both effective in MMA tournaments and in real life situations. We have two convenient martial arts schools in South Florida, Sunrise and Boynton Beach, along with several international martial arts schools. Our goal is to provide each student with a well rounded education in Chinese Martial Arts and to train each student in all areas of self-defense and tournament fighting. Our instructors encourage each student to progress in the quest to be the most confident, strongest and healthiest possible versions of themselves.
The Lee Koon Hung Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu Association offers a caring, safe and well-structured class environment where children can learn the art of Kung Fu. Emphasis is placed on building strong moral character by developing coordination, self-confidence and discipline. With specialized training in traditional Chinese martial arts, bodies are strengthened, flexibility and coordination is increased.
Our Kickboxing Classes offers great training for everyone! The class is designed to prepare our students for the ring and to help improve the strength, endurance, flexibility and overall body development in order to be ready physically. Classes includes both men and women, and anyone can start and ease into our Kickboxing Program.
Grandmaster Fu Chen Song, an accomplished master of Ba-Gua & Leung Yee, was well known for his fighting skill. After learning the Yang style of Tai Chi, he incorporated some of the elements of his other 2 styles into his forms. This created a unique form of Tai Chi. This style gained popularity quickly as the Grandmaster's legend grew.

I enrolled my child in kung fu last year and she loved it after trying the free trial class. The instructors are trust worth and really put so much work into each kid/person there. It looked so fun that i decided to join her a few months ago and love the exercise and discipline it provides. I also was very pleased about how affordable it was. It is such a great community and They have really become family. If you get a chance i would def recommend trying out a free trial class!

I've been a student in this martial arts school for almost three years now, and it was a decision I have not regretted. I applied to the adult class in October of 2018 and I contain a worthwhile experience of friendly instructors/staff, informative classes, a great community of students, and of course fun in-depth martial arts forms. There is a level-based curriculum system ranging from levels 1 -10 that introduce certain Kung Fu forms that are appropriate to its level. This system motivates students to progress as each level introduces more complicated forms that will certainly help and improve

Been here since i was a kid and I never regret my decision joining, this was a life changer for me i spent all my years training in this school is absolutely wonderful the instructors are amazing the community is amazing and fun
They offer a great KungFu, tai-chi kickboxing and much more the lion teams and dragon teams are great and very professional at the minimum and its just over all great

Be careful of the instructor. My nephew had a few classes for about a month and afterwards he discontinued going. My mother (his grandmother) paid for the classes in cash. When I went to drop off my nephew he assured me that he had to use my credit card for gloves and shoes for my nephew. "A simple 20 dollars". He then had me sign a contract for a reoccurring payment of $285 which was the original purchase my mother already paid for in cash. In essence he got 6 months "worth" of money from my family while my nephew only went for a month. Immediately when I tried to confront him about putting down

I have been a student of Lee Koon Hung Kung Fu for over a decade now. This is a martial arts school unlike any other because we are treated as is we are way more than just a customer. At Lee Koon Hung Kung Fu, we are a part of a community. We not only learn a traditional southern-style kung fu hand and weapon forms, we also have the opportunity to Learn Lion and Dragon Dancing, traditional Chinese instruments, get introduced to the language of Cantonese, and even acquire a bit of martial arts history through our instructors.
