Michael Bierker and his wife Elizabeth opened Westhampton Pasty Shop in Richmond1952. They retired in 1976, and sold to the Rogers Family, bringing three more generations of experience to the bakery. Guy "Boots" Rogers took over for his father in 1990, working hard to perfect his recipes. He imparted this knowledge and experience to the team, ensuring that his family's legacy would live on.

Love this place. However at Christmastime it's so busy that they sell out of the things that normally are there. Lots of people phone in larger order I guess, therefore when you get there everything is gone. I know it's not their fault however. Will continue to patronize them anyway. Everything is always fresh and delish!

I ordered my wedding cake from here because of the previous reviews and how long the Bakery has been in establishment. I showed the clerk the picture of exactly which cake I wanted from previous pictures the had posted just needed the different colors. I requested to have the cake delivered to my reception location between 1-2pm.
Not only did the cake arrive 2 hours early, it was left out in the clear open air on a table in the reception room, no covering at all!(This during a year where Covid is still slightly prevalent )

I have been here before but was disappointed. I ordered some ice overs to give away and an eclair and cheese danish. Had had all of these items before and been pleased. But today, both the eclair and danish tasted stale. The eclair part was hard and dry and chocolate on top cracked. It was filled with lots of custard but I am not sure this was made today. The danish was also a little dry too. Hopefully, next time I go, I will items returned to their former glory. If I had time, I would have returned the eclair to show them. I still like this bakery but was less than satisfied today.

Well I'm giving a 2 and not a 1 just because I've enjoyed their products in the past and they made our wedding cake in 1996, but I hear ownership has changed since then, so they probably don't even deserve the three.
The complaint I have today is that I was drawn in by the giant sign that says fresh strawberry pies and cakes. Parking is very difficult here anyway, but more difficult today because construction was going on in the front so I had to park across the 4 Lane busy street. I came in to get a fresh strawberry cake or pie and they had neither because they said they didn't have any fresh
