Lisa had her stroke Dec 23,2011. She arrived in Lexington mid January 2012. She couldn't talk,or walk. She had a trake and a feeding tube. She had just started moving her right side. With dedicated staff and rehabilitation personnel she quickly got motivated. She started in a wheelchair with one arm not working too well. The rehab staff got her to stand for 10 seconds which improved each week, and they got her to walk in a short time. By May of 2013 she still had a trake but was walking with a walker. Lexington staff trained us on how to clean and replace a trajectory and on May 31 we took her home

The nursing staff are very hard workers. Everyone is like a family there, if someone needs help everyone pitches in. I enjoyed working with the staff and residents.

I have many family members who have been a resident at this facility and have gotten excellent care. The staff is caring and listens to your concerns and makes sure anything gets addressed. They also have a fantastic respiratory and restorative department to make sure everyone is very well taken care of.

I came to Mississippi Valley Healthcare (formerly Lexington Square) over 10 years ago. Quit a very easy, good-paying job to go there, but never regretted it. Anyone who has left usually regrets it. We have a variety of ages and health concerns with residents. You will never learn more anywhere else. Dr. Wilson Davis was our medical director for a very long time and he made sure his nurses were well-educated. If you didn't understand why he ordered something, he would educate why, instead of just denying. He taught us alot. The atmosphere is very upbeat. All staff treat each other as family. The

As a nurse, i have really appreciated the care my mother is receiving here! There is a wonderful staff who work together to take care of our loved ones at such a difficult stage of life. Sometimes it is hard to appreciate the care due to circumstances of aging. God bless each staff member and resident! You are so appreciated - I hope this is an encouragement to you all - it is very hard work physically and emotionally to care for residents! I pray for you all every day! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️

A good friend of mine was sent there ,was there a short time before passing away....she passed on friday and the family went to get her belongings on monday only to find most of them gone all her clothes were gone { it was nice of them to not steal the hangers} all that was left was a handful of hangers...after a hour and a half and a threat to call the police they did find some of her stuff....so my advice is make sure you keep everything locked down
