ALA provides structural and civil engineering, as well as facility/safety inspection and construction inspection and management services to the transportation sector within the Mid-Atlantic Region. All of these services are provided for a wide range of transportation related facilities including bridges, highways, tunnels, transit facilities, garages, retaining and noise walls, drainage and stormwater management facilities, and utilities.
ALA was a subconsultant for this large bridge project, for which the firm designed 11 bridges. This project required complex design of the bridges and interchanges to allow for the efficient staging of the construction, detailed maintenance of traffic, and major utility relocations. ALA provided structural engineering services for at-grade stations at Wiehle Avenue and Tyson's Central 7.
