Oliver Photography
We don't "just take pictures" - we create portraits that will be cherished throughout a lifetime. It is our hope that this site will provide answers to your questions and give you direction as you research your photography needs. We want to take the time to understand your desires, your hopes, and the dreams you have for your portrait and then turn those expectations into reality.

Although we have been commissioned to photograph objects such as products, homes, etc., our specialty is photographing people. Photographing objects has its challenges but photographing people has its rewards. We enjoy immortalizing moments like the natural expressions of a family interacting with each other, or the soft expression of a child's smile.

Thanks for checking out our website and finding out a little about who we are. We have been in business since 1996, and although I (Mike) have photographed products and objects, my specialty is photographing people. My interest in photography started in elementary school when I got my first Kodak Instamatic Camera as a gift from my grandparents.
At Oliver Photography, you choose the photography you want. There are different session styles that allow you to select the photographic looks that fit your personality. The real focus is on having a great time during your session. Your high school senior photographer, Mike Oliver, knows how to make you feel completely at ease in front of the camera.
How will I look in my pictures? During your session, you will be amazed as Mike works his magic. He knows how to make you look your very best. Sometimes just a slight tilt of the head, a change in the shoulder direction or shift of the weight to the other foot can help turn a snapshot into a masterpiece.
Your portrait session is one hour. During your session you can change clothes as many times as you want, there is no limit to the number of poses or photographs taken. Some people bring massive amounts of clothing changes and they spend most of their session changing clothes instead of having their picture taken.
It's been said, "You never have a second chance to make a good first impression." If your business portrait is on your card, website, brochure, or other marketing materials, chances are that is the first impression people will have of you. You might need a new business portrait if your ten-year-old daughter took your "executive portrait" with you standing against a white wall.

Mike worked with my client for some headshots and he won the day! Even the ladies who were apprehensive about getting their picture taken, loved how Mike handled the process! He had a great demeanor, made them feel relaxed (EXTREMELY IMPORTANT). He was able to show them their picture right after it was taken and they could approve their picture before the shoot was done. I have him work with all of my clients.

We have used Oliver Photography several times for school photos at the Goddard School in Louisville. He has been prompt and easy to work with, and he has that creative artist's eye.
We also used him for our son's Senior Photos, and he really captured the essence of our sometimes taciturn young man.
