Services
Nearly everyone has some knowledge about the major systems of the body, such as the digestive system, the respiratory system, and the circulatory system. The master system that directs the activities of all other body systems is the nervous system. The nervous system includes the brain, the spinal cord, and the nerves themselves.
You are here: Home / Chiropractic A Healing Profession / What is a Doctor of Chiropractic? The Doctor of Chiropractic may practice chiropractic in New York State following licensure. Analyze the body to determine nerve interference through appropriate manual or mechanical techniques, x-rays and other imaging procedures, clinical laboratory services, and instrumentation resulting in chiropractic.
Our treatment protocols have one primary goal in mind; to help your own body heal itself. In a teamwork fashion between the chiropractor and patient, all aspects of your health are considered, using the "Triad of Health" model. This fashion of unified healthcare allows for a more detailed review of your overall needs, in support of helping correct your particular ailment.
Applied kinesiology (AK) is a form of diagnosis using muscle testing as a primary feedback mechanism to examine how a person's body is functioning. When properly applied, the outcome of an AK evaluation can help determine the best form of therapy for the patient. Since AK draws together the core elements of many complimentary therapies, it provides an interdisciplinary approach to healthcare.
The origin of Applied Kinesiology is traced to 1964 when Dr. George J. Goodheart, a chiropractor in Detroit, first observed that postural distortion (for example, head tilt, high shoulder, high hip) is usually associated with muscles that test weak. He found that by applying the appropriate therapy, the muscle would test strong and the postural distortion would change.

I've always been a fan of the benefits of chiropractic. New to the area with some problems with my neck and shoulders I was lucky enough to find Dr. Hanson.
What makes him so special is his ability to combine kinesiology with chiropractic. It didn't take him long to correct the problem.
So if you're having problems with pain in your muscles or joints... Dr. Hanson is the guy to see!
