Prior to our family ownership, Pacific View Memorial Chapel was operated by a large out of state corporation. In 2010 two Funeral Directors, both having homes on the Oregon coast and long time friends of the Bateman family, purchased the businesses from the out of state operators.
Brian Norris who resides with his family in Newport, Oregon and David Schroeder, a long-time Oregon coast native are the co-owners of Pacific View along with our sister facilities Bateman Funeral Home in Newport.We are currently undergoing a major remodel following storm damage last winter. Our remodel will include a larger crematory area with new state of the art and environmentally responsible cremation equipment.

This offering includes the services of the funeral director and administrative staff for coordinating and directing the service; obtaining legal documents and other paperwork necessary to complete the arrangements; our staff's transportation of the deceased to the funeral home (within a 50 mile radius); refrigeration, dressing and cosmetology (if requested) of unembalmed deceased; use of our facilities for private family viewing, use of our chapel facility or use of our equipment for services at the church or facility of your choice within our local area; and the actual cremation process.
