Services
When a death occurs, we understand how stressful it becomes for families with numerous facets in bringing a funeral together. We pledge to provide a superior and unprecedented level of service to those families who entrust us with the care of their loved one. We will provide a safe, supportive, and comforting environment to gather and to grieve.
We understand that making the many decisions which come at a time of loss can be difficult. We offer our support by providing you with two options as you consider making immediate arrangements. With online Arrangements, you can take your time to select the arrangements which are best for your preferences and budget.
Today many people, young and old, come to Lajoie Funeral Home to pre plan their funeral and final disposition. The knowledgeable staff is ready to help you explore your options and provide price quotes so you can make informed decisions. Having your instructions recorded will give your survivors the peace of mind of knowing that they are following your wishes.
Some people may ask why you should preplan a funeral. The answer is quite simple. Time and time again, we sit with families who have lost their loved ones, who face the question "What did mom or dad want?" The loved ones that are left behind are often confused, whether to choose cremation, because you might have mentioned it once, or to have services in a church or funeral home.
Planning in advance of need provides peace of mind. The death of a loved one is a time of great loss and advance planning can reduce stress for your family with the knowledge that your preplan has been completed. This allows your loved ones to devote more time to coping and understanding the loss and less time concerned with funeral arrangements and financial details.

In 2017 this location took advantage of a grieving family member at the time of a relative's death, and did not let them know about other options available that fit their budget, such as Downeast Direct Cremation. I was brought into the picture and pressured for money for a service my family did not want, then moving to a ridiculously overpriced cremation service.
I would not suggest to ever use this funeral home, and if you have a deceased family member to be cremated, to instead call Downeast Direct Cremation out of Bangor for fair rates and sympathetic staff.
