West Orange Healthcare Dist
We were created in 1949 as an "independent special healthcare district" and today, we've invested more than $130 million directly into programs and projects that make our residents healthier. But we're much more than a grant-making organization.

We take a holistic approach to community health and routinely convene leaders, facilitate conversations, promote partnerships and champion initiatives that address key health issues in our community, from chronic diseases and lifestyle choices to accessing healthy food.Working together, we believe west Orange County can become the healthiest community in the nation.
Services
Every day, we wake up thinking about one thing: how to make west Orange County the healthiest community in the nation. A lofty goal? Yes! One we believe is worth our investment. Our formal boundaries extend from Kirkman Road to the east, the Lake County line to the west, the City of Apopka to the north and the Osceola County line to the south.
The 30,000 square-foot facility includes the ViewRay, which uses magnetic. We partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank to launch a Healthy Pantry program in west Orange County designed to get fresh fruits, vegetables and lean protein to the people who need it most: those battling. Plans are underway for a 12-acre sustainable working and teaching farm in Winter Garden, made possible by a $1.7 million grant from the West Orange Healthcare District.
