Services
Henneke Funeral Home has been serving Columbus area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come. The history of Henneke Funeral Home dates back to 1896 when James Ramsey opened a hardware and undertaking store in the historic Ehrenwerth-Ramsey-Untermeyer building in downtown Columbus, Texas.

When a loved one dies at home or in a place that isn't a healthcare facility, you'll need to contact emergency personnel before they can be taken into our care.If your loved one was under medical care, it's a good idea to call their physician as well. If your loved one dies in a healthcare facility, they will notify the proper authorities, including the funeral home you have chosen to care for your loved one if they know that information.
Planning a funeral service can be a very difficult process for families who have just lost a loved one. But it's important to provide those who are grieving with a supportive environment in which they can begin to find closure, say goodbye, and come to terms with the loss.

Gathering with friends and family gives everyone the opportunity to connect, share memories, offer words of sympathy, and create a lasting network of comfort and support as they start the journey toward healing.Immediate burial means that your loved one will be buried or entombed without a public service or gathering.

EXCELLENT, CARING SERVICE!
Very accomadating and helpful during a really stressful decision process. Robert and his staff help with recommendations on local (in county and surrounding counties) ministers, florists, after funeral gathering venues, etc. They explain all processes efficiently and answer any questions you may have. If they don't know the answer, they work to find the answer to your question. I feel the staff are totally professional and serve the public with respect and dignity.
Henneke Funeral Home is a beautiful facility. The chapel is big enough for most services. And if burial

When my parents passed away years ago Robert and his kind employees did an outstanding job at both their services. Extremely professional attending to every detail. My mom and dad both looked as good in death as they did in life. In closing Robert you should be complimented for the outstanding job you do. May God bless you and Keep you all.

The staff was accommodating and empathetic, making an already difficult time bearable. The soft music playing in the background, mindful of social distancing and sanitized hands upon entering and exiting was great.

I have only commented once I believe regarding my experiences with a business or service. I felt compelled to write this review for many reasons. (1) Very little services provided for such a large “professional services fee”. (2) The local church provided most of the Memorial Services with none provided by Henneke Funeral Home. And (3) and the most upsetting, 30 minutes prior to the service, Robert Henneke called requesting payment. Totally unprofessional, very upsetting in an upsetting time, and frankly rude.
