Tom Giere has been involved in the accounting profession since graduating with honors from Wright State University in 1981. Tom gained valuable accounting experience with a Fortune 500 company before entering public accounting in 1984 as a manager in the tax department of an international firm. He joined our practice in 1989 and was named a partner and owner in 1992.
Nolan Giere has a history in Troy Ohio that dates back more than 70 years. A direct link to the past and the current day firm was established in 1957. In that year, Howard G. Schoch joined with the firm of Gadney and Eberly to form Gadney, Eberly, & Schoch. In 1960, after the retirement of his partners, Howard G. Schoch operated as a sole proprietor until 1980 when he and Nicholas F. Nolan III created Schoch & Nolan.
