We're a full service accounting firm in Lakewood, Ohio. We've been serving businesses, government offices, nonprofits, churches and individuals since 1985. Our firm was founded as Laskey CPA by Timothy P. Laskey and was originally located on the corner of Detroit Avenue and Warren Road. In 1991, we purchased a building that once housed a bank on Madison Avenue, and this was our home for the next 21 years.
As the business grew, we brought on more personnel, and in 2011, we determined that we needed even more space than we had on Madison Avenue to accommodate our nine employees. If you're starting a business, we'll help you set up Quickbooks or other accounting software and give you the timely accounting advice you'll need. Regardless of the industry, we can deliver all the accounting service you'll need. For individuals, we also offer estate tax planning and personal tax planning to help you achieve your financial goals.

Our clients come from a variety of industries. As a result, we have hands-on experience meeting their accounting needs, and we will be able to give you the expert advice and guidance you need.
Today's tax laws are extremely complex. Just filing a simple tax return can be a burden for most people. Our mission is to help you file the most complete and accurate tax return possible in order to minimize your tax burden. As you can imagine, the IRS makes yearly changes to the tax code, which now is more than 70,000 pages long.
We offer payroll services to our clients who would rather have us do their payroll than entrust it to an online service. If you desire to outsource your payroll to such a service, we will be happy to advise you about the suitability of a particular service as it applies to your business. Many of our clients have us handle all their payroll needs.
If you're starting a new business, or if you've gotten to a point where you need a new or better accounting system, then we recommend you begin using QuickBooks. We have found this to be the best accounting system available, and we find that our clients can get up and running with it quickly. That's why we recommend it.

I have worked with Cindy Costello for over 5 years now. When I started my first business I was looking for an accountant who could help me with all my legal questions. I made an appointment with Cindy, and she was professional, knowledgeable easy to understand and on point. (this was important to me, as English is my second language!) I'm very happy I decided to start using this CPA. The location is very comfortable and easy to access, and even has its own parking. I needed to put this up! It's insane how a Tax Accountant (Tim Laskey in Lakewood OH) did my business and personal taxes for 2011, charged me $1500, and I'm STILL getting requests from cities in which I never filed! Not only that, for the past 4 years I've made the same amount and had to pay no taxes, but when he did it, I had to pay $6000!!!!! One dependent made me head of household which qualified me for an $8,500 deductible; but, they filed me as single which is $2700 less. My wife and I have been going to Laskey Costello for years to get our taxes done. Their tax service is quick and accurate, I don't have to worry about anything because I know it was done right.
