Virginia is one of many states that combines assault and battery in the criminal context. In the civil law world, assault refers to the act of threatening harm, and battery refers to the actual harm caused in an attack. Virginia has simplified the law so that assault charges are designed to cover both concepts.
When you are charged with domestic violence in the Commonwealth of Virginia, it can seem as though your whole world is suddenly crashing down.
As if the domestic violence incident and the circumstances surrounding it aren't dire enough, the penalties associated with a domestic violence conviction could result in a misdemeanor or felony conviction on your permanent record, along with fines, jail time, probation, restraining orders or all of the above.

If you have been charged with a drug crime in the Commonwealth of Virginia, you probably have many questions. Will you be required to serve a jail sentence? If convicted, will you be faced with a misdemeanor or felony? Will you be forced to pay fines, perform community service, or participate in a drug rehabilitation program?

Steve represented me in Loudoun county, he was able to get the prosecutor drop the charges against me and successfully defended me with the associated protective order. Steve is an amazing attorney!! If I could give him 10 stars, I would. I trusted him completely and he came through! He helped me put behind a horrible situation I was in. I would strongly recommend him to anyone in need of a wonderful criminal attorney!

If I could I would give him no stars! Horrible just horrible. Doesnt answer calls or texts, he didnt even know his client was in jail! Infact he was on vacation instead of fighting for his client! And above it all, gave his client misleading and untrue information! He did absoloutly nothing, just took the money and went on his happy way! An awful, uncaring and negative human being. Do yourself a favor, find a better lawyer!
