Ola Mae Dawson in 1959. Joe and Patsy had two Children, Debra Young Garmon and Joseph P. Young, Jr. Joe received his Kentucky Embalmers & Funeral Directors Licenses in 1954 and Patsy received her Funeral Directors License in 1966. Joey started his apprenticeship under his father in 1989 and recieved his Embalmers and Funeral Directors Licenses in 1992.
Joey also started Young Monument Company in 1989. Young Funeral Home opened its second location in Russellville in 1990. The expansion and remodling of the the Russellville Chapel was completed in 2008 and the Auburn Funeral Home was remodled in 2009. Young Funeral Homes and Monument Company are dedicated to serving the people of Logan County and the surrounding area.

My daughter passed away November 1, 2019 and we went to Young's to make arrangements for cremation for her ! Joey Young hastily went through our meeting and sent us on our way. We purchased an obituary in the newspaper that never came out, the day we were told that we could pick up her remain's, her husband was handed a bag of remain's and the urn we had purchased separately and this was way wrong, her remain's were supposed to be in the urn and selaed but they left it to us to do of which upon talking to Joey Young he admitted the funeral home had made a terrible mistake !
