What is Chiropractic? A natural, non-invasive approach to health care. Chiropractic is based on the scientific fact that your body is a self-regulating, self-healing organism controlled by the brain, spinal cord and nerves of the body. The nervous system is protected by the spinal vertebrae. When these vertebrae become misaligned or lose normal motion, malfunction of the tissues and organs throughout the body result.
The main causes of joint dysfunction are mechanical, chemical, and emotional. Mechanical causes are referred to as micro- or macrotrauma. Microtrauma can also be called repetitive stress injury. Sitting with poor posture at a desk and typing all day can cause problems such as carpal tunnel, neck, upper back, or low back pain.
First your spine loses its normal balance. There may be a loss of normal spinal curves. Your nerves may be affected and the vital life energy that flows over them is interfered with. Also your joints, discs, nerves and posture are stressed and age more quickly. Surprisingly, there may be no pain other than occasional minor discomfort.
Subluxation is a term used in the chiropractic field to describe what happens when one of the vertebrae in your spine moves out of position. The word subluxation is derived from the Latin words meaning somewhat or slightly (sub) and to dislocate (luxate). When this happens, the misaligned vertebrae creates pressure and stress on the spinal nerves, blood vessels, and surrounding muscles.
Massage therapy offers a natural, conservative treatment approach that relieves musculoskeletal pain for many patients, and is a highly effective complement to the chiropractic care that we offer. Our office provides specific myofascial release (deep tissue massage) and muscular therapy that is designed to therapeutically benefit the patient's condition and/or injury.

I can’t say enough good thing’s about Schmitz chiropractic, they are absolutely amazing! The doctors, staff, massage therapists are all very professional, friendly and welcoming. The care I have received for my neck and back pain is wonderful and I have definitely noticed a difference since the start of my care plan. Nothing beats their in depth analysis of your current condition and their personalized treatment plans. Their entire staff is eager to help and it is just an all around awesome place. The Schmitz Chiropractic practice is fantastic!
They offer a variety of services, including a digital Xray to provide personalized treatment. I personally get an alignment, estim and massage therapy. Dr. Mark & Dr. Kyle are knowledgeable, very kind and take time to get to know their patients. They are very punctual with their appointments, although this is a very busy practice, I have not waited in the lobby for extended period of time. The front desk staff is very friendly and welcoming. I have been going to them for several months and am extremely happy with the care I have received.

BEST Chiropractors ever!!! Dr Kyle and Dr Mark are kind, compassionate Drs who really listen to your concerns and do everything they can to help! The massage therapist are all great! And the front staff is awesome! Nicest people you'll ever meet! You definitely leave the office feeling better than when you walked in!!!
