The Montana Family Medicine Residency was established in 1995 to meet the need of a shortage of physicians in Montana.

Current winner and a list of past winners who have won the coveted MAFP Physician of the Year award! The HHS has allocated $20 million in annual grant money over the next five years to fund training and education programs that help solo physicians and small group practices in rural or underserved areas implement the Quality Payment Program, which is part of the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act.

Dr. Stein is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and attended Carroll College in Helena and the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington. Shortly thereafter he started full time at the former Eureka Prompt Care in 2000, commuting part-time from Kalispell from 1997-2000 before moving to Eureka.
