Pulled in with a check engine light, a big dude came out and informed me I was on private property and that I could not park there. He told me to leave I did not argue, will never go back. Grumpy isn't the word I would use, more like A**holes repair

Were travelling through and had break issues between Christmas and New Years. Got diagnosed and repaired on the same day and we were on our way. Very happy.

Nothing as used yet. Car is in parking lot so it better be a qu I ck fix. It's under warranty and I am sitting in car slept for 4 hours before I had to use the restroom. Kenny from star towing is 5 star. I will update further. ........ Okay so it was not the fuel filter. It was Mike's auto clinic in messing up the fuel pump. I ran out of gas . My apologies for being upset with the owner. We both were grumpy at the time. He was nice enough to let me stay the rest of the day and have it towed back to Mike's auto clinic in Nampa, which by the way cost me over 400.00 to have it towed back.

My wife was just outside Baker City when our van started to sputter, something was clearly wrong. She was able to make it to Grumpy's. It was just her and our 3 boys, she was 2 hours into a road trip at the time. JR could see the worry on her face and found a way to squeeze her in. He diagnosed and fixed a fuel injector issue, while all that was going on his wife took my wife over to McDonald's to get food for our boys since it was around lunch time. Truck broke down as I was passing through town. Luckily I was able to limp it to their shop. Ended up being the transfer case imploded, so I had to stay the night in town until my wife could pick me up the next day. Jeffrey was very helpful and drove me to the hotel, even though it was at the end of the day on a Friday holiday weekend.
They fixed the transfer case as well as other ongoing issues I had.

My family was stranded in unity, we called grumpies mobile repair, he suggested a tow into town andthen he absolutely saved our entire vacation by finding an elusive sensor that had gone bad, in a day. The price was a third what we expected it to be and I've never been so happy in my life. <3 we are on the road again.

It's been awhile but we are seniors not real savvy with internet so that being said. Our 30 ft motor home broke down in Baker City. It was a oil cooler line which was difficult to find in an older RV. We camped in the parking lot waiting on the part as as all parks/hotels were full during this time. Then, Our generator stopped. Let me just say JR and his wife went the extra mile plus some. Not just a great garage with superior work and customer service but genuinely kind and caring people. After over 3 years we will be going to this lovely town who we feel is made better because of this business

We broke down in the extreme heat wave on July 4th weekend In Baker City, OR. We are senior citizens, with a 16 year old dog in a new small RV. Every mechanic in this lovely small town was booked, the sort of Dodge dealer was out three weeks in appointments! We were stranded, hot, and extremely worried. My wife and I were on a cross country adventure and our RV refrigerator went out, forcing us to use our coolers and keep our food on ice. We were connected to JR and the guys at Grumpy’s by a mutual acquaintance, and they were able to squeeze us in as we were passing through town. They showed up. I know, it seems like a minimum standard, but they showed up on a Saturday when everyone else was either closed or didn't have the knowhow to get it done. We exited the freeway in City of Baker for evening but well before the RV Park for the night, our Class A diesel RV began sputtering and died numerous times in town. After futile efforts to proceed very far, I called a local diesel mobile service. I was advised that Grumpys diesel repair was the only place in town that repairs diesel rv's. Grumpys is run by JR and his wife. They have zero professionalism. His wife is extremely rude and JR has a million excuses for why. It's completely unacceptable. If you're overrun, hire people. They live up to their name. They do not have the right equipment to talk to the computer on the truck than tell the driver they don't know what they are doing. 1 person working and seemed like he was annoyed with having to work. Waisted 2 hours for employee to say my computer doesn't have any codes (even though they admitted to not having the right equipment.

We are in Baker City, OR. We spend a lot of time there with our Family We are full time RV'ers, and have had trouble with our trailer brakes since last Oct. Just Cuz Contracting, which is my brother & cousin told us we must take it to JR at Grumpy's. We made an appointment, 3 weeks out. Truly amazed how busy this place is, yes at first Grumpy seems a little gruff, & he tells you exactly what to expect!! Which we really appreciated his honestly. I had just passed through Baker City when I had my transmission burn up, leaving me stranded on the freeway 5 hours from home. I got to Grumpy's right at 5 (closing time) and JR stayed late to take a look at my truck for me and diagnose the problem right there before leaving for the day. He then called hotels in the area for me and got me a deal staying at the Best Western while my pickup was being repaired, even giving me a ride over and making sure they had me in before leaving.
