While each of the D-J companies contributes unique strengths, all share the same commitment to quality and delivery. Collectively, our services perform at a level which makes them a strategic asset to each and every customer. We produce very large assemblies and the details that go into them for anything that flies. We build and repair flight critical structures. We manufacture parts for commercial, military, and general aviation, and for space launch vehicles.
Services
D-J Engineering represents my best attempt at providing the most comprehensive array of engineering and manufacturing services available to the aerospace industry. Recognizing that technical and schedule performance are enhanced when one organization controls all aspects of a project or product, we have continued to expand our technical breadth.
D-J Engineering, Inc. specialize in machining, sheet metal, assembly, composite, extrusions, hot forming, and engineering for the aerospace industry. With over 300 employees in 300,000 square feet of manufacturing facilities, we focus our attention to serving the aerospace industries, including commercial, military, general aviation and rocket/satellite.
Because of our constant growth, the true capability of D-J Engineering is difficult to define. Whether a large or small aircraft project, D-J Engineering can produce it. Because of our high intensity and diverse knowledge base, we specialize in accomplishing the projects that many companies refuse to even start.
Aluminum extrusions are one of the basic building blocks of airplanes. Unfortunately, they can be hard to get. Not if you call D-J. We specialize in doing custom or low production runs of aircraft alloy aluminum extrusions. With two extrusion presses at our disposal (1400 and 2200 ton), we can do small or large extrusions up to 10 in diameter.
D-J Engineering has completed assemblies such as the B-52 Engine Strut, KC-135 Crew Entry Doors and Spoilers, FA-18 Blue Angel Oil Tanks, the 767 Tanker/Transport Floor Beam Assemblies, and the Aerial Refueling Boom Structure and Skins. As an "Integrator" D-J Engineering, Inc. has developed a top-notch assembly team.

DJ Engineering revels in its ability to onboard work that no other companies take on – without regard for the human cost. The culture of middle management at DJ Engineering attempts to drive authority to their subordinates, a futile effort considering the most senior leadership shows no empathy for their labor – save for the rumored extra-marital affairs and dented walls from ‘spirited’ conversations. The onboarding of the work deemed untouchable by others is often pursued with inadequate resources (both manpower and time), yielding opportunities for incidents which could prompt OSHA visits

Pro: Lots of learning potential.
Con: Senior management isn't objective enough to make sound decisions.

This is this worst company to work for. They allow some people to work if the clock and still get paid. The owner uses his employees to work on his house during work hours. They dump paint in the dumpsters and chemicals which go into Augusta storm drains.
