As Devlin Funeral Home approaches it's 100th year serving the Pittsburgh community, it is important to reflect on the journey leading up to this occasion. As a son of Irish immigrants, Bernard Bede Devlin was born in Pomroy, OH in 1877. Bede was one of ten children, seven boys and three girls. In 1901, the family moved to Pittsburgh and settled in the Hill District.

My mom just passed away under two weeks ago. My moms ashes and death certificate got back to me in less than a week after her passing. Her urn was absolutely beautiful. The guy Jonathan was always there to answer our questions and he answered them promptly. The lady at the front desk was so sweet. My grandma ended up wanting ashes and I didn’t realize I couldn’t get the lid off the urn Jonathan told me he would do it for me and even transfer the ashes for me! They are so sweet and kind and do excellent work. So glad I chose Devlin I’d recommend nd them to anyone!
