Services
Beach portraits are our "specialty" at Lorin Backe Photography. We have photographed thousands of families and couples on the beaches of Laguna and probably have more experience with the beach portrait session than any other photography studio in Southern California. We have been photographing beach portraits for almost 3o years in Laguna.
Lorin Backe Photography for just $125 will create an outstanding headshot for your professional or personal need at his studio in Orange county. This will include approximately 50 images to choose from. Your favorite image will be emailed to you within a day. Expert Photoshop retouching is available starting at $75 per image.
The portrait experience is influenced by several factors including: location, lighting, weather and clothing. The location we use for our beach photography is second to none. All portraits are done during what we call the "Golden moment"- approximately one hour before sunset. An average of 335 days of sunshine in Orange county makes for a winning combination.
My husband and I have always dreamed of a sunset, beach photo. Lorin's work is the answer to our dreams. He works with you to ensure that you are comfortable and relaxed. More importantly, he works to ensure that your individual personality traits are part of the photos. Our photographs are amazing.

I highly recommend Lorin. He is a great photographer and a great person. After helping me get a professional headshot for my website, he then spent at least a half hour more of his time guiding me around some pitfalls he encountered when he set up his own website. Lorin was a big help to me!

Lorin so beautifully captured our first professional family photo with our 8 month old son and we could not be happier! He’s found the perfect spot in gorgeous Laguna Beach and you don’t have to worry about the crowds as Lorin only needs a small space and half an hour or so to create his magic. Easy to work with, takes time to get to know you, communicates efficiently ie emails/texts to confirm appointment, photo location information, and other specifics. So many beautiful shots during the follow-up meeting to select prints that I wanted them all! Thanks again!

Working with Lorin was a pleasure. It was easy to schedule an appointment, he made me feel very comfortable in front of the camera, and I'm extremely pleased with my headshot. I was extremely pleased with the level of service I received from Lorin. I had a last minute request which he was able to accommodate, and the photos turned out fantastic. He clearly knows what he’s doing.
As someone who does not necessarily enjoy the photo shoot experience, and can feel awkward at times, he chatted in between shots to capture some terrific pics. I’d highly recommend working with him for your photography and headshot needs.

We recently did a family beach portrait session with Lorin and we were extremely pleased with our whole experience - from photo session, to choosing photos, to the final product!
Lorin was helpful from the very beginning in selecting a date and prepping us for the photo session. The location at Divers Cove was wonderful and perfect for sunset photos. We have young kids aged 4 & 8 and Lorin worked so well with them! We normally struggle to capture authentic smiles when we are snapping our own pics. Lorin easily held their attention and the kids genuinely had fun with him.
