In July of 1986, Steve Tibbitts moved to Macomb to purchase a business that would make McDonough County his permanent residence for this generation and many generations to come. Steve was born in 1954 in Chicago, the only son of Dr. Les and Wilma Tibbitts. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to Morris, Illinois where Steve was raised.

Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Homes would like to announce to the community that we are now providing a new service to the area. We will provide a removal service for a deceased pet, either from your home or veterinary clinic. We will prepare the pet for cremation and provide professional transportation to a licensed pet crematory.

Thank you for taking care of my mom's funeral which was a logistics challenge: Macomb, IL (LDS Church) to Calumet City, IL (Our Lady of Knock and Holy Cross Cemetery). You and your son were professional with all the details and business end of a funeral yet personable in helping me and my sister, Diane Vine, get through this emotional time. Everything was perfect and we know our mom, Josephine (Josie) Bartus, was smiling down and giving you a thumbs up!
