The adoption process can be incredibly complicated. Our firm only handles stepparent adoptions of minor children and most adoptions of an adult. It is imperative to have an experienced lawyer on your side to help your case go smoothly. David S. Hughey has extensive experience in handling stepparent adoptions and can handle all of the legal issues, allowing you can focus on your family.

Hughey will make sure that your rights are protected and that you get the compensation that you deserve.
Depending on the case, we may offer an hourly rate, flat fee, or contingency fee. Our lawyers and paralegals keep detailed logs of the time they spend on your case. We count in six-minute increments. We only work for as long as a case requires, so we will never overbill you for unproductive time. Final bills will include costs for copies, faxes, court filing fees, messengers, court reporters, third-party research tools, and other expenses.

Sadly, this review is of the office staff. I made a call to try and set up an appointment with Elizabeth for a new client consult. The front desk staff was EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful.
I called and asked to speak with Elizabeth. Her response was “She doesn’t work from this office.” Umm... ok? So where does she work from or how can I speak with her? Or does she not work for you at all any more. The rude lady then followed up by saying “Well, you’d have to give me your info and tell me why you’re calling and I’ll email her.” So I gave her my contact info and told her that I was
