Services
The Towanda Creek Animal Hospital was founded in 1991 by Dr. Joan Hudyncia. Seeing the need for high-quality small animal veterinary care in the Towanda area, she started the small practice out of the Hudyncia family home on Franklin Road. Within several years, she built a loyal client and pet base, and was able to move the hospital to our current location.

Did we mention we have a dental Xray unit that helps us examine tooth roots and see tooth fractures not evident to the naked eye? That's right - only the best for your pet. Of course, in addition to scheduled dental visits, we encourage you to practice daily home dental care for your pets. Regular removal of plaque build-up through brushing or wiping your pet's teeth will aid in preventing gingivitis and periodontitis.
Laser therapy is a pain-free, noninvasive treatment method for a variety of medical conditions. In laser therapy, the laser works with the body to repair injured and damaged tissue naturally!. When laser therapy is used to treat acute or chronic pain (like arthritis), pain medications can often be reduced or eliminated after laser therapy treatments!

This is all about a veterinarian who chose semantics over caring for a dog who was presenting serious symptoms from a unknown injury.
It was very evident that our family's dog required immediate care. When my sister presented me with these messages going back-and-forth, between my sister and the doctor, I had to speak up. The so-called doctor made it very clear that she had no intention of trying to help our dog. The messages were very infuriating to read and I'm sorry that my sister had to go through that.
For this doctor to even question my sister's intentions was absolutely

We took our pet there for a serious cough, deep, raspy, productive,, and suddenly developing over the last few days. First off, they will not even allow you into the vet with your pet because of this Covid stupidity - you have to hand your pet to them from your car, and you must stay in your car while they take your pet inside. Seriously?!?! If you want to be paranoid about Covid, then ask customers to wear a mask but don't separate them from their pet! This can be quite traumatic to some pets! Even people hospitals currently allow a visitor to come back with a patient to their room. But you

I cannot express how much I appreciate this place. I have yet to find a better vet anywhere I have moved since leaving Towanda. They genuinely care about their practice and patients and it shows in everything they do. There have been several occasions where they have gone above and beyond for me and my cats-- I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone.
