New sod is known for having a very shallow root system for several weeks until it can establish roots down into the soil. Therefore, Service Specialists Lawn & Landscaping recommends daily watering to keep the existing roots from drying out and the sod from shrinking. During hot weather, it may be necessary to water twice during the day until the grass becomes more rooted.
At Service Specialists Lawn & Landscaping, we know the most important factor in getting a seeded lawn off to a good start is to keep the surface moist until the grass is one inch high, then water once or twice a day until the first mowing. Obviously, rain and cool weather may help you avoid some watering, but sun and wind could dry the seed very quickly.

My experience with this business exceeded my expectations! They were extremely pleasant to work with, very fair pricing, and time efficient! After repairing our pipe which had frozen this past winter, Jim gave us a lesson on how to prevent this from happening in the future! We are newer home owners who have been fortunate enough to have had sprinklers systems already installed, but we were not yet knowledgable on how to properly care for them. Thanks Jim! We appreciate it!

Jim, the owner, is one of the most honest and intelligent businessmen I know. If you have a problem property and don't know what to do, he does. I've seen him do projects both LARGE and small with excellent results. Service Specialists has the know-how and the equipment to get just about any job done.
