Our stay was great. `Great vibe. Great location. Dealt with one rude Jamaican lady at the front.`I am not surprised at all. but would definitely recommend staying here. There is a tiki bar next door that was AMAZING. So much fun. Valet parking, security at night, cameras everywhere which for me is important when travelling to certain areas/hotels.

We had a great stay at the ocean sky hotel resort, I would stay again. Perry at the front desk greeted us upon checking in, and he was Exceptionally nice in answering all our questions and making us feel welcome . Our room had really nice views on the eighth floor, It was confortable and the bathroom modern. For the price you can't beat having access to the beach, nice staff and a warm pool, we enjoyed the Jacuzzi which was relaxing. The only issue that we had was a couple that was fighting all night long and kept us up, but once we called the front desk security came and spoke to them. This

Saturday nights some neighbors will get rowdy. Security will help, as they did in my situation.
They also have a weird problem with these black birds that land on your balcony ledge between 5:15am and 7am and scream at each from building to building and balcony to balcony. This goes on for about 20mins. It happened every other day. These birds were also landing on other buildings as well. But all at the same time.
The building next door, has some weird generator or something running all

In this review I will describe my desire to have an affordable nice trip for a family of five one week before Christmas. We are in the middle of a pandemic.
Great things about this hotel:
It has a hot tub and a pool.
There is a bar by the pool.
There are ample beach chairs.
There is a cute private beach.
There is towel service by the pool.
There is valet and self parking and both are 20 dollars a day.
There are no carpets in the rooms so it's just sweep ing.
I like pictures.

Great location! The entire staff is really welcoming and nice. Enjoyed the drinks by the pool. The restaurant food is a little pricey for the type of food. Some of the rooms require some tlc because the building is directly in front of the ocean and paint degrades quickly, but the rooms are comfortable an spacious, bathrooms updated and have mini fridge and microwave. Overall a great stay.

Stayed at this hotel on my bachelor party with a party of 7 gentlemen. On the website, you fully expect to get treated to a 4-star quality atmosphere with beachfront views although reality is somewhat different. The rooms were clean and everything worked so no complaints on that front. The overall hotel though was somewhat run down and had just seen a better day (probably 20 years ago?). The beach was super crowded. The pool was super crowded. Overall, I would describe the amenities offered as somewhat minimalist. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing downright horrible about this place

I don't know where to begin but if you're on the fence about a resort "to be for warned is to be for told"! Positives, beautiful beach and ocean! Now the not so great... I booked the vacation through Expedia both flight and hotel. What I learned was that each station operated under the "protection" of being owned by a third party. The hotel has very little ability to solve issues! On the beach all the chairs and umbrellas are owned by the jet ski company and for 1 setup the beach chair $20, 1 cushion $5, and 1 umbrella $10....now think about traveling with a family

Not only do basically share balconies with people... the room have connected doors so you can hear everything. During our stay the cleaning people came extremely late. The rooms next a major update...they have carpet and very old curtains. You have to pay an extra $50 for chairs on the beach now. Maintenance also came in to fix "phones" for about two hours. The AC barley works... it turns off and on every two seconds. There were supposed to be smart TVs but we have a TV that doesn't even work.. Go next store.... book Ocean Manor!!!

Excellent location, extremely clean and friendly staff hotel. Great prices overall. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and bars! I love the pool, jacuzzi and the beach at your footsteps! I think the rooms are being updated as of 2021. Mine looked like just like the picture. Yes, the balcony could be noisy over the AC equipment but I wasn't much on it. I have stayed there three times now. Did not rent a car since everything is so closed by and Uber was inexpensive if I needed one. Now, the reason I am giving only 4 starts is the beach chairs are extra $15 per one per day! The beach umbrella

The resort is definitely not 4 star. The bathroom sink was clogged, there were blood stains on the sheets. The closet door was broken off the hinge, and the hotel won't even give you ice at the pool bar, they make you go inside to get ice from the machine. Other than that you have to pay for accommodations at the beach like beach chairs and umbrellas. The soda machine was broken on our floor. When we called the front desk, they said go to another floor instead of offering a bottle of water. IIt was ok, but we won't be retuning. It was dated and needs upgrades and improvements.

Definitely think twice about staying here. Very old, dirty and not updated at all. Arrived to find hair in my bed, bathroom toilet not cleaned properly along with the entire room. Extremely disappointed. When you ask for anything from housekeeping, Count your lucky stars if it even arrives. Service during breakfast is horrendous. You literally sit there and wait for a menu... And food service is extremely slow and not worth the money they charge. Overall, very disappointed and will not be returning ever.

Hotel is fair. Old decor. Somewhat clean. Tiki bar has horrible bar service. I'm not much of a drinker. - drinks were weak.$12 each? No thanks. Food service outside was very bad. Wait staff bad. Food comes out cold. Breakfast were bad. Surprised a cook can't fry a simple egg. I'm not one to complain believe it or not. But this place needs some revamping definetly work with food and drinks

Our favorite part of this hotel was definitely the pool, spa, tiki area, and the fact that it was right on the beach. Each of the rooms seemed to have a partial ocean view. I wasn't expecting as great of a view for "partial" as it was! The rooms were okay. Bathroom was updated but you can definitely notice wear and tear in the room. We also were not greeted as nicely as we had hoped. Someone in my party stepped far away from everyone and had a sip of coffee and got yelled at. Other than that we had a pleasant trip!

Expensive for 1 night. Granted it was super bowl weekend. Good access to the beach right from the hotel.
Parking- valet parking only for $18!! Didn't like that either. If you're looking to spend money and a nice place stay closer to Lauderdale by the sea. This one is a little far out from all the good stuff.

Very enjoyable experience over 6 days with my family in two rooms. The staff and valet are all wonderful and total pros. The beach, pool, jacuzzi, and lounge areas are in great condition and facilities are well maintained. The rooms are pretty basic, I loved my deck with ocean view. Everything was very clean although the rooms are on the small side. Parking is $18 per day. The hotel restaurant is overpriced and nothing to write home about . Overall, I would deff return. Other negative reviews are nuts.

I gave a lower rating because the rooms are very over priced for what you get and the amenities are just fine.
The valet parking service is a third party service but the only option if you have a car. One of the valet workers damaged our car and it was a bit of a pain to navigate with the hotel and the valet service as the company didn't take responsibility. The hotel staff was friendly, but again since it was a separate entity it was tricky to navigate. If the hotel is associated with the service, there should have been better accountability

This place gets mixed reviews on Trip Advisor and Yelp. The price was low for a beachfront hotel, however, and so my wife and I took a chance - and the Ocean Sky Hotel turned out to be almost perfect.
The hotel has an upscale atmosphere. We were very happy with the room. Everything was very clean; the bed was comfortable; and the bathroom was modern. We also had a view of the ocean from our balcony. (The tap water was yellowish, as other reviewers have noted, but it was no big deal: we simply didn't drink it.)

This place is the grossest hotel I've ever stayed at. First of all-- Their water is bright yellow and looks like pee... the hotel manager "Mark Dyer" refused to give bottled water to guests because "it wasn't their responsibility." He told us it was because a water pipe had burst the day before-- it was the hotels job to contact out of town guests letting them know about this. We never got a phone call. He was so rude and unwilling to help- telling us "it's beyond his control"-- and said the water was "fine." Funny- he refused to wash his own
