At first I thought this place had my dog's interest at heart but after numerous times being told "there's nothing we can do/give him to relive [fill-in-the-blank] issue, other than what you're already doing", I've hit my wall with this clinic. I have friends who have suggested I ask my vet for that specific medication/procedure and even then, it seems like this vet is clueless and apathetic towards any issue I brought forward. I have since decided to transfer to another vet. My dog and I deserve to at least be heard and given options when options are available.

Dr. Dowling and his team are FANTASTIC. Our sweet cat was hit by a car over the weekend when Elma Pet Clinic was closed; the emergency vet hospital quoted us $3600 to amputate her leg. We decided to wait it out until Monday, when we could get her into see Dr. Dowling. His gentle approach to our cat, and his VERY REASONABLE costs, assured that we can get our cat's surgery completed. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

I took my one year old husky to the vet for an ear infection. She doesn't like things in her ears so I recommended using a muzzle. My husky is dramatic so she talked a lot, tried to get her muzzle off, and struggled to sit still when we got close to her ear with the medicine. When she moved the vet grabbed her by her cheek fur and told her no. He did this twice. The third time she moved he grabbed her and shook her. She reacted by screaming and peeing herself. During this time of him shaking her, I told him to let her go about 4 times before he finally did. I told him to never do that again

I have never had any problems with records not being transferred to other clinics, mine have been done the same day. They are closed on Wednesdays, so maybe that was the problem the other reviewer faced. This vet is my kind of vet. He is really friendly and gets the job done. No extra this or that, you take them in and he fixes it. He doesn't suggest that you spend tons of money for other things and he doesn't make you feel bad if you don't want to run a thousand tests. My animals are very happy to go in every time, and I don't leave feeling like I have to throw $1000.00

I had called Elma Vet to have my dog's pain medication and specialized food for kidney disease faxed over to a Vet Clinic that is near my new home. I called the night before and was assured his records and prescriptions would indeed be faxed over. I have worked all day and planned on picking up my dogs necessary medication and food after work, before a long 4 day weekend (due to the holidays). I have now spent the past 1.5 hours calling Elma's Clinic, desperate to get my dogs medication and food that he desperately needs, only to reach their answering machine, over and over again.
