18 months ago I ordered and paid for a headstone for my son. It was supposed to take up to 3 months to be done because of COVid. We started calling about it and was told anytime it should be on the next truck. Months go by we still called still asking about it. We finally asked for our money back but they assured it would be on next truck.
Finally when we went in to talk to them they admitted they had never ordered the headstone because they misplaced the order. The order was supposedly sent November 2021, a year after we actually ordered it. I keep calling and they keep saying they are going

We were told that it would be weeks before we would have the remains of our mother so we would call every few weeks to check to see if they had them. It’s been 2 1/2 weeks and we call to get an update and they tell us she has been ready for pick up for days. No one ever called to let us know. We also have been waiting on the death certificate which we haven’t received as well. This is not common courtesy for such a harsh time in ours lives. They may be cheaper but apparently you get what you pay for.

Very friendly staff and will greet you with open arms, made making arrangements very easy for my husband when his mom passed away.
The only con - the building is older so it has a smell to it at all times it seems, had a smell when we were given a tour and had a smell at the viewing, was darker then expected, vents were filthy.
They do although have a newer looking building in Bullard, so if possible I would make arrangements for the place in Bullard. I will definitely use them again but will use the Bullard location next time.

This has been a very disappointing and frustrating experience at a time when the grief can be overwhelming...My mom had a pre need contract with this funeral home so we decided to use them and i have regretted that decision immensely. She passed away on Sept 21st. Her casket was placed with the head at the foot stone facing West rather than positioned properly at the headstone facing East during the funeral. We are well over 3 months now and her nameplate has not been ordered for her grave even though it was paid in funeral expenses October 28th... after speaking with the people in charge of the

My father-in-law passed away in 2016. He had pre-purchased funeral services through Boren-Conner, including a headstone, just needed a death date added. When he passed away the funeral home took care of all the arrangements. The service was fine. A year later, after realizing family was not going to take care of the additional $150 engraving fee, we paid. The engravers machine was broken so we waited and waited AND WAITED! A year and a half later it was completed. We looked at the lettering. The original stone was cut deep and clear, the new death date looked hurried and unfinished and was not

Recently, my Father passed away unexpectedly in Tyler at UT Health. Living in California, I was very anxious about how to handle the details of my Fathers passing. The hospital Chaplain counseled me by phone – and recommended that I contact Boren-Conner Funeral Home for assistance. I did call Joe at Boren-Conner after calling around to the other funeral homes in Tyler… I was quoted prices of up to $3800.00 for a direct cremation by these other providers. Boren-Conner was the least expensive Funeral Home that I was able to make contact with - and came with the referral/recommendation of the

The worst possible experience at one of the worst times in my life. I trusted this company who likes to brag about how long they've been in business and somehow seems to believe because of that it excuses them from their actions. Their website states that they assist and guide you every step of the way. I assure you they are only interested in the profit from your heartache. My grandson was delivered to his resting place in a pickup truck and the makeshift casket was carried by Mr. Boren across the cemetery as if he was carrying a cooler to a high school football game. No flowers that had

I highly recommend Boren-Conner Funeral Home -
When my brother died I didn't know what to do. I had never been responsible for arranging a funeral before. Joe and Patricia led me through the process, answered all my questions, and brought ease to my anxious mind - during a very difficult time. Patricia took care of all my concerns related to insurance and death certificates. At the funeral Ron visited with me - and shared some very kind words.

My father just passed from liver cancer. My mom was so worried that it would be complicated to get everything done she needed to for him. Walking in we were greeted with such a warm welcome, she was so patient when it came to us picking out an urn for my father and we found one that was beautiful. We really liked the service we received, during hard times it’s nice to have kind hearted people around ♥️

Back when I lived in TX, I was in need of finding a funeral home and I was searching for funeral options. I was basically clueless about the procedure. I had a lot of questions, and I called this home when I thought of a question, because I was pretty sure this was the home I would use. The third time I called, a gentleman spoke to me in a very rude and hurried manner. He said "I don't have time to chat right now". Sorry, but I wasn't calling to "chat". I don't call funeral homes to "chat". I was so shocked by his tone, that I just said "ok"
