Dr. Thomas Gensbigler was born and raised right here in Hampden Township. He is the son of Dr. Joseph Gensbigler who started the practice nearly 50 years ago. He started his educational path at Cumberland Valley High School.
West Shore Family Dentistry is one of the longest serving dental practices in the Harrisburg area and was founded almost 50 years ago when Dr. Joseph Gensbigler started his practice in Lemoyne. The office has also physically changed with the building of a new state of the art dental office in the year 2000 and further investments in the latest dental technology helping our office become completely digital.

If it was possible to give 0 stars I would. Worst dental office I've ever been to. They obviously only care about getting in as many patients in there as possible to line their pockets. They extracted a tooth and then I had to wait over a week for the dentist to prescribe me an antibiotic. Then he had the audacity to accuse me of pill seeking because I was in pain and wanted some relief after a week. He only met me once before that. Never confirmed my medical history or my prescriptions. He also got offended when I got upset and raised his voice at me to make it clear that HE didn't cause my problem

Absolutely horrible care. Terrible dentist. Rude waiting room staff, mostly the younger ones (except the one older woman, who tried her best for us and is super nice). You will wait hours past your appointment time. My loved one was seen here at least SIX times due to the same issue with tooth. Simply because Dr. Thomas doesn't listen to his patients and isn't in the room longer than 10 minutes. So the conclusion is, find another better dentist. I'd give negative stars, if possible simply due to the rudeness of all the women in the front desk (except the older woman) let alone the lack of care

I called to cancel myself and my daughters appointment because my daughter has what we think is a stomach bug. The lady on the phone was extremely rude and they dropped us as patients because we " missed too many appointments". When I asked when she proceeds to tell me about an appointment from 2016 and one in 2018! A missed appointment from 5 and 3 years ago??!!! Then that lady just hung up on me. Sorry maybe I should have let my daughter just go there and get everyone sick.... absolutely ridiculous!

The office staff is very rude and act like you are wasting their time. They are not accommodating and speak to patients nasty in person and over the phone. They cancel appointments without letting a patient know and if you have a balance with them it can take a year to be billed! In the meantime they already report you to the collection agency and never give a detailed bill ever! I should have switched dentists several years ago when the hygienist broke wood off in my gums from a spacer and never told me. I walked around for 2 weeks in excruciating pain to find out later what happened and had to
