Dr.Vanorman is extremely experienced & very professional. He knows exactly what he is doing.. His assistant always makes sure you’re feeling comfortable. The receptionist is as friendly as can be. All around the staff is phenomenal. There isn’t a better dentist I’ve witnessed. I highly recommend seeing Vanorman Dental Group for your needs.

I started going 4/2018. I used a Groupon due to no dental insurance. They honored the Groupon price for each cleaning and gave me a 20% discount for any treatment needed until I had dental insurance.
When COVID started, the clinic closed for a bit and Carla (admin) kept me up-to-date as soon as I could pick up my new retainer (since my dog chewed on my other one...). She also texted me when they were scheduling again in September 2020.
Carla texted me 2 weeks ago about rescheduling my cleaning since the hygienist Kinsey went on maternity leave. I live about 30 min away and she said Dr. Van Orman

Dr. Van Orman has been my dentist for over 20 years. He and his staff are personable and caring, and he is quick to respond and address dental emergencies. Dr. Van Orman stays up to date on the latest dental advances and treatments. If you have to have a crown or other dental repair you can be sure that it will look like the rest if your teeth. I wouldn't go anywhere else unless Dr. V referred me.

I've been treated (more like cared for) by Dr. Jeff (DJ) and his amazing team for 6-7 years now. What an amazing team of wonderful, professional individuals. I'm always greeted with a friendly welcome and my comfort is always priority #1. Never have I had work done where I felt angst or let alone pain.

I have been a patient of Dr. Van Orman for nearly 20 years and absolutely wouldn't consider going anywhere else for my dental work for a variety of reasons. Getting fillings, crowns, veneers, isn't fun and frankly can be a bit scary....Dr. Van Orman has a very gentle manner and is always mindful of your comfort level. He is extremely skilled and does amazing work. In addition he is there for you during emergencies and has made personal phone calls after a few of my lengthier procedures to see how I was doing. My family was lucky to use the services of the Van Orman dental group for many years; too many years to remember, but likely over 15 years. The service was very good when we started, but I believe it only got better over the years. Exemplary service: He left his house at midnight for an emergency extraction of a broken tooth, for which my daughter was in great pain. He even called the next day (weekend) to check up on her.

I’ve been going to Dr. Van Orman for several years. The very BEST dental assistants, hygienists, admin, and receptionists work there. They are ALL individually so warm, personable, and inviting — I truly look forward to going just to talk to them (how often can you say you look forward to going to a dentists’ office?!). Dr. Van Orman himself is fast, efficient, kind, direct, and is clearly a perfectionist which is exactly what I want in healthcare. I’ve also never waited more than one minute for appointments. It has been a long time since I had a dentist that made me feel this awesome. It started out as just a routine exam and cleaning I bought off Groupon and didn't know it would turn into a long term relationship. I am so thankful I found them. They always do a great job and make me feel good about my teeth even though I have had A LOT of dental work done. I do not have dental insurance and it has always been affordable which is also why I love them. If you haven't had your teeth cleaned lately, go get those pearly whites cleaned up at the Van Orman Dental Office.

HOWEVER. I was told I needed SIX fillings. I was absolutely shocked. I hadn't gone to the dentist in about two years so I was surprised I got so many cavities when I take good care of my teeth. I didn't have dental insurance (which they knew) so they gave me the price for all the fillings, which was about two thousand.
I read other reviews on here about people getting a second opinion, so I did the same. My new dentist only found ONE cavity. She used the same x-rays from this place then took

After not being to a dentist in six years due to fear and a terrible past experience.. The Van Orman Group were One of the most pleasant dental offices I've been too.
They were friendly ,compassionate and made me feel hopeful that my teeth would be well taken care of. I've been a victim of dental shaming and to be honest I'm actually looking forward to my next cleaning! My last dental hygienist was so sweet and had great technique, pain less and not at all uncomfortable.
The receptionist was very helpful with my financing options, along with a positive attitude and great customer

Please read the one star reviews. They are consistently telling people they have MULTIPLE cavities when they do not. Waste of money and damaged enamel. This place is like a Jiffy Lube, the assistant and doctor were almost badgering me about adding additional costs. I went in for a simple cleaning since my primary dentist closed after being with him 20 years, I always have routine cleanings and never a cavity. THIS PLACE said that I had gingivitis, five cavities, were trying to talk me into orthodontic measures, to top that off my teeth feel like they have been scraped past the enamel. It

Not sure where these terrible reviews are coming from. I found Dr. Van Orman through Groupon, I'm between jobs and wanted to stay on a regular 6 month cleaning schedule. The new patient registration process was easy and I was able to quickly get on their schedule.

I visited Dr. Van Orman's office after receiving a Groupon for xrays and a cleaning. The visit went well and I scheduled a pulp debridement for my nxt visit. I was nervous about going in because I've never had a pulp deb. or a root canal and didn't know what to expect in terms of pain. The Dr administered local A. and numbed me up very well. I had two teeth to work on. Including numbing of both lower sides of my mouth, dental work of two teeth it was about an hour and a half appt. Time went by fast and all of the staff provided a warm welcome. I felt comfortable sitting in the chair

Very nice office. Hygienist Fran is very friendly, knowledgeable, and GENTLE! DA Anna knows her job well, kept making sure I was okay and comfortable during treatment. I could not speak highly enough about everyone who works in this office! Walking in with general-low level anxiety, they could not have made my experience any more enjoyable. Apart from the mental benefits (actually looking forward to my next appointment!), they are highly skilled and professional, providing realistic advice and very effective service. ALERT!!!!!! I Went to see dr. Van orman for a cleaning... His cleaning was very quick and didn't seem efficient. I had a filling that came out and he told me I was borderline needing a root canal and recommended a crown, and deep gum cleaning as he said I had bone loss, which I found peculiar because I keep up on my cleaning. He stated I had 4 additional cavities that needed filling and gave me a treatment plan at the end of my appointment stating I had needed close to 4K in dental work done. He offered me a 20% cash discount because I don't have dental insurance, seems like a great deal

Dr. Van Orman recently told me that I had 7 cavities, costing $1200 to fill. As I get regular exams and haven't had cavities in years, I went for a second opinion to my regular dentist (I don't have insurance and visited Dr. Van Orman on a groupon). My regular dentist, who is voted one of the best in Portland, told me I had no cavities. Additionally, my regular dentist did an actual exam for nearly 20 minutes where as Van Orman just poked real quick and looked at a screen.
