Big Red Barn is a farm based preschool environment that gives each child the opportunity to connect to the world around them. Big Red Barn has a comprehensive curriculum that fosters an appreciation for agriculture's contribution to society.
Services
At Big Red Barn the learning doesn't just happen outdoors. Step in to the classroom and let the experience continue. Each classroom is furnished with toys and materials to develop social and cognitive skill development, gross and fine motor skill development, lots of natural science exploration and includes a variety of fun accessories to foster hours of creative play.
We have truly the best staff any parent could ask for. All of the teachers are CPR & First Aide certified, have fingerprint clearance cards and food handler cards. Our goal is to provide a clean, loving educational environment for your children. The staff's main concern is taking care of the most important thing in your life and we take that job very seriously.

I DO NOT recommend this place for anyone to enroll children/work here. Parents see the "bright" "happy" side of things... and the management puts a face and a show so that parents think that everything is good and all is rainbows and sparkles, well that is not the case. Teachers even management yell at kids mistreat them and not to mention the whole place is filled with the lice... The employees are treated extremely poorly and are forced to attend unpaid unnecessary meetings that have nothing to do with work. Checks bounce and trying to get them to pay you is a pain. Super stressful environment

I just toured this preschool and was extremely disappointed. I love the concept of a farm-based environment and a supposed curriculum that fosters appreciation for our environment, but sadly, I was overwhelmingly unimpressed. First, the director was anything but friendly and seemed irritated/put-out that I would ask to meet with her and schedule a tour. I thought things would be better in person, but even as we met and she walked me through the center she was anything but welcoming, nor did she bother asking a single thing about my child, a potential student.
Secondly, the facility itself seemed

Leslie Short: I am sorry to hear you had a bad experience at the Big Red Barn. We pride ourselves on our professionalism and compassion. I hope that you will give us an opportunity to correct this with you in person.
We have many amazing things to offer but we are not for everyone. Yes our building has an open floor plan so there is no sound separation from class to class however the children are not stuck in one room all day either. They transition to different areas in the school such as a separate library area, arts and craft area, outside with plants/animals and the dining room. At the Big

In response to Bennett Burkholders review, I am having trouble seeing the truth in his statements. There is a camera in every single room of The Big Red Barn where the office staff can see the students and employees at all times, as well as the parking lot. You can easily see the entire computer screen at the front desk is a live video feed from each camera.
You have to pass the front desk, talk to your students teacher as well as sign in and out your child, this seems simple because when the staff knows you it's a quick process. Signing in and out of students is how all preschools or daycares

Bennett, You're wrong. There are security cameras and they've been there since the inception of the business. The staff and owners have always been willing to listen to my ideas about curriculum and safety. I would never think about sending my children elsewhere. They are treated like family.

My son has been at this preschool for 2 months and we absolultely love it. I have never left my son with anyone before so I wasnt sure I would be able to trust or find a place that was good enough for my son but I was so wrong. I am so glad I took a tour and enrolled my son there. There is always someone at the front desk to monitor what's going on as well as anyone that is coming in or out. All of the staff is absolutely awesome and they truly care for the kids. The communication that the staff has with the parents is great. I love the entire atmosphere--open hands on learning environment and

Initially we thought the big red barn was a great day care. However after 6 months of dealing with them i can safely say this place does not care about what the parents have to say. When we filled out the paper work to enroll our daughter we declined the consent form for them to post pictures of our daughter on Facebook. We have had a constant battle with them to keep photos of her off there Facebook page. they even posted her name and age for everyone to see on the open Facebook page. After this happened i did more research on them and found out that there is virtually no security at the big red
