Unfortunately I can’t give a negative five star review, but if I could, I most definitely would. My husband and I lived in an apartment that we rented from EP Gates Realty & Construction for almost 3 years. We had a few problems in those years (roaches coming in through an open sewer line in our apartment) but were able to solve most of those problems. However, around this time last year, we discovered mold in our apartment. I found it behind our bed and then found it behind other furniture and in the closets. I have nothing bad to say about E.P. Gates, but I would not recommend them to anyone I know. The skylight in my kitchen leaked after a heavy rain for the 2 years I rented and was never fixed. It was in this condition the day I moved in, but it was fixed in less than half a day for the tenant that moved in after me. I know this because E.P. Gates did not wait until I moved out -- they made the repairs to my apartment the last week to prepare for the new tenant while I was still renting. When I gave my 60-day notice, I received a list of responsibilities that had to be completed before my move out

The staff is completely disorganized, and unprofessional. There is no systematic aproach to any facet that involves good business practices. They are dishonest and slacking in responsibility. And upon first impression it was noted that the owners are lazy and half caring for any of their tenants and properties.
