Called for a price to re-thread a muffler stripped blot hole for my 2020 vehicle. This particular damage was not covered under warranty. I chose this place because it was very close to home and at the same time why not support local businesses. The person was very rude from the beginning, his questions were more interrogation style, I assumed it is end of the day and people can be a bit grumpy. He asked for my full name which I spelled out for him, then I gave my phone number. Next he asked for my full address, this is when I stopped him and asked for an estimate before I hand over all my personal

Since my battery died, they came out and started it then drove it back for overall routine checkup and winterizing. Then did Inspection. Called to get OK for all work. Polite, friendly, honest. AAA approved and discount. Then they delivered my car back. The most important thing to me is they get it right, and I completely trust them. They have all my records and let me know what I'm due for. A bit expensive but the dealer costs even more, and you get what you pay for, in this case. Thanks, Bill and gang!

My check oil light came on in my car and it was a freezing cold Saturday morning I was heading to Connecticut when the light came on I stopped and checked the oil ant the level was ok. I pulled into the Mahwah Sunoco they took my car in right away. Turns out it was the battery they had me on my way in no time. Friendly service. You don't find many of these shops anymore. I wasn't going to write this review but I felt I had the responsibility to share my experience. My check engine light went on so I brought the car in. It was determined quickly that the battery was at its end. I picked the car up and received a bill for over $700. When I questioned the charge, I was told that "a special battery" was needed that cost $300. The rest was the labor to reset the engine light. A $300 battery for a Ford Focus? I work nearby and frequently buy gas at this station. The workers are always speedy and friendly, especially the older gentleman ( I don't know his name). The other day I walked out to my car to find I had a nearly flat tire. I went to the station to get gas and fill the tire with air. The older gentelman insisted on helping me and discovered that I had a nail in my tire. He said he could have the guys take a look since they weren't busy at the moment and mentioned that they can plug the tire for $20.00. I was happy to have them take a look. A few years ago I live in Mahwah and used these people for a few years while I lived in town. I had several bad experiences with the dealers on route 17, and finally gave up on the high cost and lack of personal touch. Well, Mahwah Sunoco does offer a more personal touch, they also keep the place looking very nice. However, the cost of their work is outrageous! Now that I have moved out of the area and taken my cars to other places I am amazed at how much they charged me for work they did for me.
