TBC Commercial C onstruction, LLC began in April of 2000 as a Texas based general contractor. Founder, Bobby McCoy Sr, and President, Bobby McCoy II, believed in utilizing technology to streamline and enhance customer service and business operations. While focusing on new ideas they never strayed from old fashioned experience.

This combined with strong management team and structure is what catapulted TBC's strong start and continues to be a strong foundation in our growth. With new found growth TBC implemented a strategic plan to increase its competitive edge by incorporating"in-house" forces to perform multiple aspects of work on projects.

Bobby McCoy Sr. has been in commercial construction for over 35 years. He is the founder of Texas Best Construction, predecessor to TBC Commercial, and has instilled the ethics in which the company is built. Bobby's background includes shopping centers, grocery stores, assisted living facilities, churches, K-12, higher education and numerous other ground-up and remodels projects.
Traditionally, Owners, Developers and Municipalities have utilized the design-bid-build method of procuring design and construction services for most of their capital outlay projects. This approach allows the Owner/Decision Maker to determine the exact product before it begins construction. The limitation to this method is that the project overall hard costs are not known until the bids have been received.
Regardless of the design methodology, the discretion is left to the builder to choose their preferred methods of construction so long as the final outcome reasonably matches the design documents. It is this "discretion" in which General Contractors, and specifically TBC, can be the most useful to the Owner.

Projects are not bid on by construction contractors until working drawings are completed by a separate architect-engineering firm and the Owner Client usually requires multiple General Contractor Bids to determine the lowest bid or proposal per the defined construction documents.In the traditional design-bid-build process, preliminary plans, working drawings, and construction are all separate phases.
