A: Chiropractic care is a science, philosophy, and art focused on the intricate relationship between the spine and nervous system. Chiropractors detect and remove subluxations. A Subluxation [suhb-luhk-sey-shuhn] is a misalignment in the spine that cause tension in the nervous system and dis-ease. You may not even feel it, but it may still be there.
HBCC focuses on gentle, specific chiropractic care for the entire family. We strive to help parents optimize their nervous system so they can be more present in all of life's precious moments, be more patient in all of the crazy ones and confident in caring for the ones they love most. The Webster chiropractic analysis is concerned with the structural relationship between the spine, pelvis, and nervous system.
Dr. Stacey Dent, D.C., B.C.A.O. also has advanced training in the area of Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care from the Sweat Institute in Atlanta, GA. This technique focuses on the first cervical vertebra, known as C1, or the Atlas bone, which is located at the very top of the spine.
The atlas is a very important structure in the spine and a misalignment of this area can cause a major disruption of normal body function by compressing the cervical nerves. The Atlas Orthogonal instrument is utilized in making the corrections or adjustments of the misaligned Atlas vertebra. The adjustments are very gentle and rarely are ever even felt by the patient.
