Dr. Mary Ann Haggerty graduated with her degree from the University of California-Davis College of Veterinary medicine in 1991. In 2000, she became the owner of Alder Creek Veterinary Clinic. With her practice growing rapidly, Dr. Haggerty built our current facility and moved in 2008. Since then, she has grown into a 6-doctor practice with advanced care services and the latest diagnostic tools.
Our surgeons are able to perform a variety of surgical procedures, from spays and neuters to more advanced surgeries. What is laser therapy? Laser, or Photobiomodulation (PBM), therapy occurs when a dose of light energy reaches target tissue and results in decreased inflammation, decreased pain, and accelerated healing.
PRP (platelet rich plasma) therapy is a non-invasive procedure in which concentrated platelets, containing growth factors, are injected directly into areas on your pet to aid in the healing process in chronic conditions. What are stem cells? Stem cells are precursor cells that have the potential to develop into a variety of specialized cell types.
We perform several different types of artificial insemination in bitches. First, is the traditional vaginal method; where fresh semen is placed in the vagina next to the cervix using a pipette. Next, is surgical artificial insemination. Our veterinarians place semen directly into the uterus via a small abdominal incision.
Obtaining samples from airways for the purpose of diagnosis for pneumonia and allergic bronchitis. Ultrasound is a diagnostic tool used to produce images of the inside of your pet's body. This can be used in pregnant bitches to determine puppy count or for a sick pet for the purpose of diagnosing a condition or disease.

My little dachshund had 5 teeth pulled. The pain medication they gave us has the potential to help but it does not work on acute pain. Five teeth pulled and two skin masses removed. He’s miserable. The liquid medication is not for acute pain . You would think after having the dogs teeth pulled they wouldn’t expect you to poke pills down their throat. I’m very disappointed.

Been going here for 10-15 years now, the veterinarians are awesome. But the front office staff is terrible. Never call you back, miscommunication, wrong or overcharges and quite a few times downright rude to me and my family. After my last experience I can no longer justify the frustration working with them

I used to love this place. Have taken my MANY animals to them for several years. However, twice now in the last few years I have had incredibly unprofessional doctor visits and a very sarcastic reception experience. This most recent time the doctor pushed his political opinions on me and when I didn't blindly follow, he stereo typed me, visibly rolled his eyes at me, and huffed when I asked a question about what was best for my new puppy. This in combination with the other negative experiences has left me with no option but to find vet care elsewhere. Our pets are important to us, especially in

Excellent care. Our little Boston Terrier had a altercation with a much larger dog while on our daily walk. Alder was able to get her in on an emergency appointment with little waiting time. The technicians are extremely pleasant and helpful. The veterinarian (Tina) was very pleasant and explained the treatment plan with great detail and sympathy. Our Maggie was treated and prepared to go home with expediency. The charges for her care were very reasonable.
