All of our staff are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors and funeral assistants. Each funeral director has completed extensive education and completed the Nation Board of Funeral Service along with state licensing requirements.
They have completed testing, training and are current in their continuing education for them to hold a license in Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota. By holding licenses in all three states allows us to serve families from the tri-state area, from the first call through the time of burial. We pride ourselves in doing our own care for the families we serve.

Staff members of MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Jerry Jurrens, a native of George, IA, came to work for Rich Roste in 1996 after receiving his bachelor of science degree in morturary science from the University of Minnesota.
Completed in March of 1995, Memorial Funeral Home's current facility was built with the community in mind. It is our hope to always be able to serve our community and the families that we serve in the most efficient and comfortable way possible. The 5410 square foot structure was built with convenience and accessibility as priorities.
At the Memorial Funeral Home, we believe a funeral service should be personal and unique, reflecting the life of the person who has passed rather than simply acknowledging their death. A meaningful service can help bring closure to the event and comfort a grieving family. Most funerals take place three or four days after a death.
When a family chooses cremation, the most important consideration is to be comfortable with the choice they have made. Cremation is a form of disposition. Your family has several options regarding cremation. Many families choose to have a Traditional Funeral using cremation as the form of disposition.
Memorial Funeral Home offers a tribute video DVD package. This package includes the personalized video in the form of six individual copies for you to distribute to your family or friends. Families bring in 40 photographs that best memorialize the life of their loved one and we add music and motion to create a touching tribute of their lives.
