Comfort Air Heating and Cooling is a locally, family owned company based in Springfield, Illinois. It was founded in 1995, however the Krueger family has been a part of the heating and cooling industry since 1974. After completing his service in the U.S. Army, Comfort Air owner Cliff Krueger found that he needed something to occupy his time.
As luck would have it, Cliff's brother asked him to come work with him on HVAC calls. They serviced geothermal systems, solar systems, and heating and cooling units, and almost any system which regulated in-home temperatures. For the next 21 years, Cliff worked for a few well-known companies but was disheartened about how management was more concerned with making a big sale than providing great customer service.

Can't thank you enough for the last couple of days. Out quick when the furnace died. Loaned us space heaters to get through the night when the ol' girl couldn't be brought back to life...and managed to get the new furnace in the next day (and cleaned up practically every spec of mess from the job). Would absolutely recommend!!!

Our furnace went out and we chose to call Comfort Air for an estimate because 3 of our family members have been satisfied, long time customers. We did not book a second estimate because we were confident that we were going with Comfort Air. We called on Thursday morning and were told not to worry that we would definitely be worked in on Friday for an estimate. My husbands phone number was left and the technician was going to call him when he was on the way. 4:30 on Friday came around and no one had been here nor called. We called the office and they were closed. My husband waited at home all day
