Like many owners of small business, our founder, Tom Abrassart, began the firm to escape the limitations of being part of a large firm and to have control over his financial independence. And he was successful. And the firm grew. And the firm was successful. But at a cost. Our founder, and most of the staff, ended up working very long hours under the pressure of unrelenting and immovable recurring deadlines at great personal sacrifice.
Quite often, business owners are so busy doing back office work (such as accounting, bill payment and payroll functions) that they run out of time to effectively and efficiently focus their talents. Their time is best spent marketing, providing superior client service and attending to other executive duties that are absolutely essential to the growth and ultimate success of their businesses.
In 1986, I founded LongwoodCPA and have strived to be a visionary leader of the practice since day one. My constant quest for knowledge and technological advances allow me to discover new and innovative ways to stay keenly attuned to the needs of all our clients. Here at LongwoodCPA, we use best of breed tools in a web-based platform where our staff can serve clients anywhere, any time, and on any device.
As Tax Manager, I aim to bring extensive experience to the tax practice of our firm by preparing individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and gift tax returns. I am also versed in fiduciary and traditional accounting services. Over the years, I have been blessed to have built many amazing relationships with our clients and love that they lean on me for a plethora of tax and accounting decisions.
I think it's safe to assume that you didn't start your business because you were passionate about bookkeeping, payroll, tax, and accounting, right? So why would you spend precious time trying to master these functions when you can rely on experts who are passionate about them (aka your friends here at LongwoodCPA)?

If you are a small business starting out or been established you should come and meet with them and consult. Janelle and the office staff are so knowledgeable and very personable with your questions and concerns. I love that they utilize online bookkeeping software and responds quickly to phone calls and emails.

Well I am as busy as a person can be and each year I dread compiling all the stuff I must put together and bring to my accountant to do the annual tax return. The time came when I said I need someone who can integrate technology-tax code-data collection-personal service and I found Tom Abrassart who has an incredible staff of highly skilled and likable people. I was able to get everything done and not have to extend which was amazing but better yet we were able to discuss some small change to business structure that can generate significant tax saving for 2016.
