The Parkinson's Training Center is a fully equipped gym providing Parkinson's Exercise and Wellness Classes, Personal Training and Rock Steady Boxing in Overland Park KS. If Rock Steady Boxing classes sound intimidating, don't worry as our Parkinson's boxing classes are only one of the many forms of exercise that we provide.

Here at the Parkinson's Training Center we offer ALL the best researched forms of exercise for the Parkinson's in small group classes or private sessions. Research shows that physical and cognitive exercise is medicine for Parkinson's and needs to be "taken" continuously. Clients enter into our programs for the benefits of continual training and not the "start and stop" pattern that may be typical of therapy.
Services
Small, group exercise classes are led by real boxing coaches and personal trainers with over 30 years of experience in boxing, movement disorder training and working with seniors. From Rock Steady Boxing to our full on Parkinson's Boot Camps! our Parkinson's exercise and wellness classes are designed to challenge you and get you results.
Gary specializes in BIG and PWRMoves! Rock Steady Boxing and working with people with movement disorder, brain injury and special needs. Gary is a Rock Steady Boxing, boxing, kick boxing and PWR!Moves certified instructor with over 35 years of teaching experience. Gary is a former healthcare worker who spent many years working with vulnerable children and adults.
For participation in group classes we begin with a short assessment. Everyone with Parkinson's Disease can participate and receive benefit from group classes and private training sessions with our coaches. At The Parkinson's Training Center your attending assessment and class is a private matter. Of course we would love to be able to share your successes with future clients who are just starting out - but only with your consent.
Group Training membership pricing is detailed below. Your coach can help you decide which is the better option for you. There are no long term contracts, initiation or sign up fees. Your contract should you wish to enter into one is on a month to month basis and only requires a 30 day notice to fully cancel.
Here at JQ's BFit2 and The Parkinson's Training Center we are delighted to provide personal training opportunities to all clients with varying medical conditions. If physical exercise is recommended for you and may contribute to leading a healthier lifestyle we can help. If you haven't exercised regularly in a while, you may generally start exercising at a light to moderate level without seeing your doctor and gradually increase your activity.

I hadn't worked out in over a decade when I started up at JQ's a few months ago. Now, I can't imagine not having this place as part of my life and routine. My wife and I have been going to the classes together and she loves it too.
Different programs and options are available, but this is how it is for me:
