Services
In today's society, funerals are very much the indication for commemoration services. However, here at Celebrations-of-Life By Leggett-Patterson we strive to produce well organized, articulated and planned services that are introduced as a Celebrations-Of Life ceremony. We pursue to commemorate their life in a way of celebration that honors the loved one, making the services just as special as their life really was.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).
A United States flag is provided, at no cost, to drape the casket or accompany the urn of a deceased veteran who served honorably in the U. S. Armed Forces. It is furnished to honor the memory of a veteran's military service to his or her country. Generally, the flag is given to the next-of-kin, as a keepsake, after its use during the funeral service.

Look no further, my auntie knew who she wanted to handle her funeral service before she passed away. I must say Leggett and Patterson did a beautiful job for her and our family. I love the fact that she added her personality within her casket. Our family was able to view her body before anyone else…soon as we walked in the door there were memories filled with pictures of all of us together. I never seen soooo much work put in a funeral arrangements of all my years of going to funerals. This made it a little easier to not just cry but to laugh at all the memories we had together. Thanks for providing

Celebrations of Life was a God send. I do believe that Mrs. Sharon was called for this type of service. She went above and beyond for my brother William Floyd Jr. From those small details that we would overlook, she gave attention to it. Very professional and compassionate. From the time we walked through the doors of Celebrations of Life to the end at the grave site you could feel the spirit of Excellence and the spirit of love. Great job.

Ms. Sharon Patterson of Leggett Patterson Funeral Home in Lumberton North Carolina did a beautiful job with the arrangements of my mother’s funeral. Ms. Sharon gave special attention to the details of all preparations. Even If the family didn’t have what was needed, Ms. Sharon still designed and curtailed it perfectly. I really appreciate Ms. Sharon for doing that. If anyone needs a funeral service, I would highly recommend Leggett Patterson funeral home services. They are very professional and classy.

Sharon, I would like to personally say THANK YOU to you and your staff. Your professionalism and assistance in our time of need was EXCELLENT. You and your staff were tremendous in the recent transition of our Mother Annie M. Barnes. You were boundless in our time of need and your being attentive to our every necessity was a blessing to us. You assured me from the beginning and I will never forget that you made it a point to let me know that in no other words "I Got You!" That was all that was required for me to know that you had everything under control and that you would do your VERY BEST to

The services for my son, Ajerris Markell McRae by Leggett-Patterson Funeral Home was carried out very professional and upscale. The display of his personal belongings was done with dignity and grace. The staff was available to our family no matter what time of day or night that we called. The staff went above and beyond their call of duty to make sure our family was gratified. It was definitely a celebration of his life. I would recommend this funeral home to anyone that is in need of services.
