My name is SophieCat and I run the show at San Diego Gems (with the help of my human family). Until recently we only sold to retail stores and the ITEX network. Now, we have begun to serve the general public through this web site and the same wholesale price level we charge retail stores. We are a family owned business.
The diamonds shown here are a sample of the diversity San Diego Gems can offer you. We belong to a network of 3,700 diamond cutters/dealers in 40+ countries who list their inventory on line. The network database is the largest online inventory of polished diamonds in the world, currently containing over 300,000 individual loose diamonds with a value of over $3 billion dollars, at my cost level.
These are a few examples of the various shapes, cuts and colors of diamonds available to you through our network diamond database. There is no limit to the size, shape and quality we can supply. When you ask for information on a diamond, we search that database, and send you the readout by email. It will show several stones with specifications and our cost.
First, educate yourself in the 4c's of diamonds, Buying a diamond is different from a buying a car which are the same. Diamonds are like snowflakes, no two are alike. Insist on a certified diamond grading report from a major independent gemological laboratory such as GIA or EGL to safeguard your purchase.
Simply stated - for its value! You will receive a bigger or better quality natural diamond for the same money. You can now own the diamond you've always dreamed of owning, but couldn't afford. The enhancement process is invisible to the naked eye, and only you and your jeweler will ever know it's a CE diamond.

My wife and I were redesigning our wedding rings and we had no idea where to begin. We had a few ideas which we were able to communicate to Sandy. The whole process went from an idea to actual designs and to reality. Sandy is a genius in what he does. At the time my fiance and I decided to get married and after looking at rings in local stores, I became very discouraged. After all, we had no financial help from any parents, relatives, or friends. It was by chance that we ran into Sandy.
We were able to choose our (MY) center diamond, side stones, and accent diamonds. Since I am in the nursing field, I can not have a ring with a high mount. With that being said, we were able to design a ring that was nurse, patient, and glove friendly. The entire process was amazing!! Sandy Sanford of San Diego Gems is my friend! I was given his number by a friend of my wife (fiancee at the time) several years back and with his help was able to design and create the beautiful custom engagement ring that to this day my wife says is her prized possession. We later designed custom wedding bands for our wedding and in both cases we could not have been more pleased. I refer all of my friends to Sandy. I heard about this business from someone who knows the owner. They are wholesalers only and do not have a store. I found out they supply the stores. When I called, the people were very nice and extremely helpful and really nice to talk with on the phone and on-line. I checked them out with the BBB and no problems.....and because the prices quoted were great I went with them. I got a 1.33ct diamond for almost HALF of what the retail stores quoted me. It had a certificate from GIA and all. We emailed the owner a picture of the ring my girlfriend wanted and in a week and a half they made a beautiful

Sandy Sandford at San Diego Gems is selling fake diamonds and representing them for the real thing. He refuses to respond and claims that the diamond has been switched. That is impossible because the diamond has not been off my wife's hand and to think that someone would replace an exact copy of an enhanced diamond is preposterous. Please warn those that may deal with Sandy Sanford and San Diego Gems that he sells fakes for the real thing.
