Started by a mother-daughter team, the salon boasts knowledgeable, skilled stylists, and state-of-the-art equipment in a relaxing and friendly environment. Alexandria Watson, the owner and operator of Salon Alexandria, received her training with Vidal Sassoon in London, England. She graduated with distinction in 2000 and remained in London to work with Toni and Guy. Alex developed a special interest in color and received many accolades for her innovative style and performance.
Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Salon Alexandria. She trained and worked in the New York and Metro area for 6 years before moving to South Carolina in 2014. Melissa is unquestionably one of the best cutting stylists in this area. She is always focused on incorporating today's trends and styles into a complete salon experience for her valued customers.
After graduating college, Gracia pursued a career in the beauty industry, and found her passion behind the chair. Her attention to detail and emphasis on guest experience makes her approachable. With Gracia, your service will always be specifically customized to create a unique and comfortable experience.
Leanne's passion is to make people feel beautiful inside and out. She had the desire to be a hairstylist from an early age, but first graduated Clemson University before attending Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School. Her skill set focuses on the most current blonding techniques, textured cuts and natural colors.
Hunter is a graduate of Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School, Charleston and has over 3 years of styling experience. She loves to show her creative side and says she does that best from behind the chair. Hunter is such a people person and prefers to be in a fun and energetic space surrounded by people full of good energy!

I know some of the reviews are rough, but I honestly feel this is one of the best experiences I have had in a salon ever. I think there needs to be some general understanding when it comes to the concerns brought up. First, cancellation policies are everywhere. Sure, things happen and it sucks, but cancellation policies protect a business, employees, and their clients so everyone has a good experience. You have these for gyms, doctor offices, children activities, etc. Any person worth going to is going to have a cancellation policy. Every time I've booked at this salon, that policy has been

We have had several issues throughout our recent experience with Salon Alexandria. My wife first missed her appointment that was originally scheduled for Monday 11/29. She mistook her days and thought her appointment was on Tuesday 11/30. we were traveling home from Thanksgiving that Monday so she was unable to make the original appointment. The appointment was originally confirmed by my wife via text, but it was confirmed on Tuesday 11/23 almost a full week ahead of the appointment. We accept full responsibility of the missed appointment but think that a missed appointment fee of full services

If your looking to pay astronomical prices for a mediocre haircut and highlight than this is the place for you. Hunter was very nice and services were ok but geez I overpaid big time. I lived in SoCal and the D.C area in the past few years and never paid this much. Mount Pleasant is not SoCal, stop trying to be.

This salon has pretty poor customer service.. My mother in law booked an appointment days in advance & they called her twice, once to change the hairdresser and then all of a sudden "something came up" with the other hairdresser & they can't take her.. I wouldn't give any stars if I could.

I booked an appointment online with this salon on Tuesday for their earliest available (which was Friday at 9:15) for a root touch up and a stand alone blowout. My appointment was scheduled with Jess. I received a call and an email confirmation from them.
On Wednesday I received a call asking me if I could come in earlier at 9am and I agreed. I went to the salon ONE time, will NEVER go back. I cancelled my appointment 24 hours the day before they said I had an appointment,, not aware they had made the appointment and they still charged me for the service. I called to dispute the charges after almost an hour on the phone with Taylor and she stated they would split the difference with me, Again, I called 24 hours the day they called to remind me of an appointment that i did not make. Jenna was INCREDIBLE! This is the BEST cut and color I have ever had, everrrr! And she was so helpful answering all of my questions with the products too! So thankful for her! Finally found my forever stylist! My ENTIRE experience, from the time I walked in until the time I left, was great. Everyone is so welcoming. Could not have went better! HIGHLY recommend :)!

Talented stylists- Danielle was mine- following everything they needed to do to keep you comfortable and safe during this time. Good products, styling suggestions, color options, spacing, and listening skills. Even let you process your color outdoors. Everybody here has been masked from the beginning (customers and clients) with ample distance from shampoo to styling. My new favorite. No more roots or worries! Thank you Danielle!!!

I had an appointment for the upcoming week but because of the COVID 19 they called to reschedule. I explained I am unable to do mornings so the receptionist stated she could give me the upcoming Saturday. This entire conversation was in front of a party of 3 other people on my end so I am not making this up. I called the next morning to reschedule my Saturday appointment further out into April because of the virus and was told my appointment was today at 11. I was not impressed by this salon at all. I got a partial highlight with NO cut and it was $185. The back of my head at the top, was not highlighted at all. I have long hair and I was in and out of there in just under 2 hours with a blow out. Usually, my partials take at least 2.5 hours without a cut. They do not do a lot of foils, especially for that price! The blonde color was good, not brassy. But, she put a toner in, so that helps. I never get toners and was not even asked if I wanted one. She just did it, left it on for 30 seconds, then rinsed. I was shocked they charged $35 for a toner!!

Love this salon and all it offers. Kaitlyn has been my stylist and always performs well. Beautiful color and listened to me! She also had answers for my thick hair that is grating and needs framing around the face. Everyone is friendly and the salon is clean and cool. A great and relaxing experience!!

Unfortunately due to a scheduling conflict on part of the salon I was not able to to get my service done. That said my review is on their customer service alone.

I booked my appointment for blow dry with curls, for 4:10 this afternoon. I made the appointment online yesterday at 1pm. I received confirmation shortly after. Then I receive a call today at noon saying they had an error on their online scheduling (which took them almost 24 hours to catch?) that had only left 20 minutes for my service which was obviously not enough time. OMG my new fav salon. The place is big and spacious, with a huge variety of awesome products. Stylists at Alexandria seem versatile and are definitely well trained! I had an appointment with Kristen. She added a bunch of lowlights to my hair, taking me to my natural color with the exact type of dimension I told her I wanted. Kristen is super talented/passionate about her work. My experience with her is why I'll be back!! Absolutely love my hair. Weeks later and it still looks great.

I felt compelled to leave a review because I've been going to Alexandria's for 2 years now and have had wonderful experiences there. Some of these reviews are clearly personally motivated, and I'd feel awful if people did not visit Alexandria's because of them. These are talented ladies that really do want to make their clients happy. If you don't like your hair, tell the stylist. Don't go on Yelp and make the business look bad just because you were too nervous or hesitant to tell them in person.

Worst experience! You should see all of the negative comments on Facebook and our local nextdoor.com. I should have done my homework before going there. My experience that I has what Alex is rude, non cari g, charges waaaay to much and does not do a good job nor does she care if her customers are happy with the results.
I have never threatened Alexandrias salon. That would be against the law. As you can see many people are very unhappy with Alexandrias salon. As with Stella Nova, I made a joke and was laughing which most people there took it as a joke except one client who lives near me

Gina is the Best Color Specialist Ever!! Did I say Ever!! I rock purple in my hair and this chic is the one and only to hook you up. My brown is always beautiful also. My purple and brown color absolutely lasts for months!!! I was amazed! The color products they use are the best. The Salon is so cute and a unique set-up. Lots of stylists in the house. Every person left with beautiful blondes and brunettes of every shade. The shampoo Gina hooked me up with last time, I swear it is part of the reason my color stayed brilliant for so long. This was my first balayage and I picked this place based on yelp reviews and photos of their work. I made appointment with Madi and she did outstanding job on the balayage. She took her time and I was satisfied with my first bayalage. It took nearly three hours from beginning to end. I expected price to be high, from the reviews but I didn't have anything else to compare to. Unfortunately Madi is leaving in October but I am sure other colorist will do a good job?
