Peter Stanhope has deep roots in Goffstown where he grew up. He graduated from Goffstown High School along with his and his wife Debbie's 2 children. He chaired the Goffstown School Board and oversaw the expansion of the building of what today is the High school and its athletic fields. He coached the Goffstown High School's freshman basketball team to an undefeated season.
After serving a tour in the Navy on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier he returned to Goffstown. The community was a natural place to start a business which today includes Elliot Insurance Agency. He acts as Elliot's business planner as president of Stanhope Associates Incorporated. He has dedicated Elliot to serve metro Manchester families and businesses with the belief that insureds want an agent with a name to serve them not an 800 number.
