I am Sarah Pfeiffer, single mom, family mediator, collaborative divorce attorney, and fiercely positive legal advocate for families in the Greater New Orleans area and across Louisiana. I work with families to build a pathway through conflict that creates lasting peace, more financial security, space for personal and parental growth, and allows the adults involved to model healthy relationships for their children.

Services
Collaborative Divorce is an alternative to court that is usually quicker, more cost effective and efficient than traditional litigation. It utilizes an interdisciplinary, team approach to resolving issues between divorcing couples by integrating the resources of other professions (financial and mental health) that spouses typically need to address all of the dimensions of their divorce.
Everyone should be able to afford legal services when they need them- from the plumber to the kindergarten teacher to the freelance artist. Every family deserves a future filled with peace, financial security, and safe space to become their best selves. Everyone deserves that better life. Toward that goal, I keep prices straightforward, reasonable, and clear for uncontested divorces.
Mediation is an informal and confidential way for families to resolve disputes and avoid court with the help of a neutral third-party, a mediator, who is specially trained in communication and conflict resolution. The mediator does not decide who is right or wrong or issue a decision. Instead, the mediator helps the spouses work out their own solutions to problems and negotiate a settlement of the issues.
