Services
All Alabama licensees are required to complete a minimum of 15-hours of approved Continuing Education (CE) prior to renewal of licensure. Every licensee must complete 3-hours of mandatory "Risk Management; Initial Contact to Accepted Offer, " and 12 additional hours of "elective classes." Whether you purchase our Special Renewal Package (all 15-hour of CE), when available, or purchase individual classes the process is simple.
Successfully pass a proctored exam that is given by the school. We do not charge for this exam; however since our proctored exams are usually administered by a public library in your home town, the library may charge a small fee to cover some of their expenses, no more than $35. Most libraries will only charge a fee for the use of copier and fax.
If you are wanting to practice Real Estate in Alabama as a Salesperson or Broker yet are already licensed in another state, a reciprocal license is for you. Something that might save time, but is not required, is to complete a Request for Determination of Examination for Reciprocal Licensing, and let the real estate Commission determine your current status.
Some classes are definitely better when taken in a classroom. Continuing education classes should be taken in a classroom if at all possible so that you get the most up-to-date information. Classroom discussions are also a great learning tool. It has been documented from several studies over several years that students taking online prelicense courses make 25-30% higher scores on the state exam.
