I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Step by Step, Paso a Paso. The level of thought and care and love put into the school was evident from the first time I visited for the tour. There are no words to describe the changes in our son, Landon, since he started preschool at Paso a Paso.
He is a completely different kid. Both of our children attended Melissa Mendoza's pre-school Paso a Paso and it was a wonderful experience. In addition to learning Spanish, they learned how to follow classroom rules, work cooperatively, and developed relationships with other children.

Services
At Step by Step by Step, Paso a Paso, we strive to create a place where children can come and explore the world around them, make friends, learn about themselves and others, build a great sense of self and develop a love for learning. Our staff will work to develop life-long skills as well as provide experiences that enrich each child's emotional, cognitive, social, intellectual, and creative abilities.
Play-based learning is necessary for developing solid social and emotional skills as well as developing creativity. We believe in letting children be children. Our play-based curriculum consists of free play and learning centers.
Play helps children develop many skills such as solving problems, developing critical thinking skills necessary to ask questions and figure out how things work, integrate all types of learning, apply mental representation of the world to new objects, people, and situations.Through these activities, children begin to strengthen their language, physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development.

Step by Step, Paso a Paso is dedicated to hiring nurturing teachers who understand the stages of child development, have a strong understanding of children, are educated in the field of child education, and have a passion for working and inspiring children. The welfare of your child is of utmost importance.

The school day has a wonderful mixture of structure and free play, active time, and quiet time. The children explore letters and colors and numbers and other concepts at a pace that is good for each child.
The El Dorado Hills school is located in the Lake Forest Area and the Granite Bay school is located on Auburn Folsom Road near Beals Point. I have sent both of my kids to Paso a Paso. We LOVE the preschool (love is an understatement).
-both of kids left preschool understanding Spanish and speaking well for their age (we do not speak Spanish at home)
-the preschool challenged both of my kids academically (they do a really good job of tailoring curriculum to meet the needs of your child)
-socially/emotionally- my kids learned to go from individual, side by side play to group play. They learned to express their feelings and voice both happiness/frustration
-the school is flexible and will always try to accommodate your needs
-the maestras
