This is the best vet I have ever experienced. My dog Danner was extremely sick and they got him right in and showed him so much kindness. Not only that but they followed up and called us for the few days following his emergency visit. Thank you so much Riverside! We are forever grateful!

Took 13 year old dog there. Got the feeling all they wanted to do was run expensive tests, instead of trying to make her as comfortable as possible. Plus a $94 fee just to get her in the door. Then a "15 minute" test turned into my dog and I sitting in the car for over an hour while we waited for results. Only reason I didn't leave was they hadn't given me the bill yet.. $300 and 2hrs later I was given Probiotics and ibuprofen

My mother called when her cat was DYING and was given a 3 week out appointment. My mom called several times to try and get her cat in sooner to no avail. She wasnt even given liquid food until her cat was examined first, again 3 weeks away! She wasted to skin and bones all the while my mom begging for help. Tinkerbell died before her scheduled appointment and we are devastated! More commpassion and urgency is needed at this place!

I need an international health certificate for an international relocation, which requires me to use a USDA accredited veterinarian. There are only a few in Cowlitz County. I contacted Riverside via email because their website said their phones were down. Received no response, and when I finally did get ahold of them via phone (must be fixed and their website is outdated) they told me they weren’t accepting any new patients. Not in any capacity, even a single visit for a health certificate. No flexibility at all, and that’s their prerogative, but they couldn’t even take 30 seconds to let

My fiancé and I just added a Chocolate Labrador puppy to our family. She was recommended to Riverside Animal Hospital by a client of hers. We are so glad they did. Even though we live 30-40 minutes away we decided to take a chance. We could not be happier. Everyone we worked with was great. They kept in communication throughout the day until we could pick him up. We would recommend Riverside to anyone who asked. Thank you so much.

Unfortunately my experience has been dismal. I have placed 4 different phone calls asking the receptionist to speak with a scheduler for spaying services only to say they would call back. Today I called again and now we have been taken off the "list" stating they did not have puppy records, which I already explained first part of Aug we had all the records available to bring in. Reception was kind but extremely poor communication lack of follow up from scheduling staff. I do not recommend.

Receptionist was incredibly rude to me (and my mom separately) on the phone today, which escalated and they lost my business... which they seem not to care about.
In short, the receptionist was rude to my mom, I called and she was also rude to me, was irritated with my questions, she yelled at me, therefore antagonizing me, and when I called her out on her behavior and asked to speak to a supervisor, she hung up on me. I drove to complain in person, the manager had no way to verify what happened and it was clear to me they lack employee oversight. She apologized for "how I feel" instead

Today we brought our dog in to be put down. I was sorry to have to ask the staff to be respectful and be quiet as I lost my best friend. Have they forgotten why they are there. Poor customer service and very poorbpersonal attitudes. In areas of apologizing the vet if there was an emergency there would be noise. Everybody gets that, but it did not happen and the noise about potato chips and cheap still continued. Bthey don't deserve our trust.

Coming back from Portland to Seattle, we had a tragedy strike our oldest dog, Surf. We rushed him to Riverside in hopes of saving his life. We were too late. From the time we ran in and were greeted by 2 young tech nurses, and ultimately receiving the bad news from the vet, we were treated with compassion and respect. I don't remember any of their names but we'd like to thank them for their efforts. His photo has and will always remain on my Yelp page and in our hearts. Surf, we will always love you our little slug.

I always call my dogs medicine in in advance,and I always have to wait in the office for over an hour to pay,even if the place is empty! And i have had problems with pricing, it all depends on who's working on how much you get charged, I've actually left and came back when another person was working because the same girl was working who charged me too much before, and have recently seen very unprofessional behavior with my animals treatment, my dog is old and started out with that vet, and I actually have to travel to get him there, so it's no easy task, so you would think some consideration

I wanted to thank Riverside's veterinarians and staff for their kindness and for helping us keep our cats healthy for many years. I don't remember when we started there, but it has been over 25 years. For the last year our two very elderly cats began having some serious health issues. They ran tests and gave us the results with options for treatment. Basically it was all age related and any treatment would be hard on them. without producing quality of life benefit. We took our elderly dog to this establishment for blood work, general health check up and possible tooth extraction. We were very concerned about her age and condition and whether or not we should have the tooth work done. The exam went fine, the vet casually mentioned to watch her for congestive heart issues but she would get back to us with the test results. A few days later we get a message from the vets office that all was good, enough to put the dog under to have the teeth worked on, included the price and told us to call back to make an appointment. We do not take our pets here but have had a flea problem with our indoor cat recently. This led us to call around for solutions, Riverside recommended a product at a decent price, but more than anything it's convenient for us to stop here on our way home.
The gal that runs the front desk and is really the only face to the business was helping another customer before us. We got to watch and hear how she treated her as well as two patients. She's very non personal, short and unfriendly.
