I'm a an artist, local business owner, a wife, mother of two boys, and Oceanside, CA native. My passion is in photographing people and their connections to each other, I love relationships and the stories they tell. I have been a photographer for 15 years and am amongst the most experienced photographers in our area.
My goal is to take the stress out of photography for you. Our photos will be fun, laid back, and meaningful. Best of all, I won't leave you hanging because I always give flattering directions and come with lot's of creative ideas for compositions and posing. The biggest compliment I get is when clients say they are surprised by how much fun they have on the session.
There are so many important elements, and I transition between portraits, photojournalism, and details throughout the day to create well balanced coverage that tells the whole story. I always incorporate natural and organic elements into my photography that will reflect your wedding. I am primarily a natural light photographer, but I also have years of studio experience that allows me to find beautiful light in any situation.
You're going to be married for over 50 years, but you only get to be engaged for this short period of time. I love to capture the only time in your life when you get to be each other's fiances. My goal is to take the stress out of photography for you. Our photos will be fun, laid back, and meaningful.
These sessions are so much fun! Your only job is to be yourself, laugh a lot and let me create photos you'll love forever. I am a big director so I will be guiding you every step of the way. Whether I'm capturing your sweet family, or celebrating a special moment in your life, like a birthday, anniversary or new baby, I'm so honored to help you create memories you'll cherish for a lifetime.

Heather was great and I would highly recommend her! She not only did our wedding but engagement shoot and we were so happy with how the pictures turned out! We have had our family portraits done with Heather for years and absolutely LOVE them every single year!! Heather was incredible to work with! We were traveling from out of state to CA for vacation and wanted to get family pictures done. I chose our photographer, Heather, based on reviews and I’m SO glad we did! We had a huge group of people and ended up with the most beautiful keepsake photos. I can't say enough good things about Heather! She is an absolutely amazing photographer! Our photos turned out spectacular! She was an absolute delight to have with us on our wedding day. She even braved the chilly weather on the beach to get us some amazing shots! She was also organized, very easy to worth with, and reasonably priced. I would absolutely recommend her!

We chose Vallentyne Photography for our November 2013 wedding. We loved Heather right away… she is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and talented. Heather was flexible and willing to make our engagement and wedding pictures everything we wanted. She worked with us to have our engagement session in two locations important to my husband and me. We appreciated spending the time with Heather before our wedding day. It was a great way for Heather to get to know us & for us to get to know Heather and become more comfortable being photographed.
