Services
Beussink Transmission specializes in diagnostic work, automotive service, automotive repair, and rebuilding of automotive transmissions (both automatic and manual transmissions). The technicians have the experience, knowledge, and latest diagnostic equipment to service most makes and models. Fred and Betty Beussink opened Beussink Automatic Transmission Service in their one-car garage when they first moved back to Leopold, Missouri, in 1973.
Beussinks has been around for over 40 years because of the way we treat our customers. We are a family business that was started in 1973 by Fred and Betty Beussink. Today, another husband and wife team owns and runs the company, Michael and Alicia Vandeven. Our technicians have a wealth of experience and knowledge between them.
When my car wouldn't move when I put it in Drive, I knew I had BIG problems. After finding out it was my transmission, I did some research on transmission shops around my area and consulted with my trusted mechanic and my husband. Turns out, everyone recommended Beussink Transmission in Leopold, MO.
Mike and Alicia purchased the business from Fred and Betty Beussink in 2011. Mike began working for the prior owners in 1999, so his years of hands on experience in shop has prepared him well for managing the business. Mike and Alicia take pride in continuing the ethics that have always been associated with the Beussink name, ensuring that customers continue to be put first.
The variety of trouble that comes from an automatic transmission can vary from minor to major repairs. Misdiagnosing the problem could turn into an unnecessary rebuild. That's why it's critical to use a trusted technician that really knows transmissions, so you get an accurate diagnosis and quality repair.

The team at Beussink went above and beyond to get my car moving again after an axle broke while vacationing nearby. They came highly recommended by everyone in nearby Marble Hill, and were highly empathetic to my breakdown so late in the afternoon. My car was quickly inspected, and a part was found for early the next morning and installed by 9am. I can't say enough good things about this place!

My husband and I took our Yukon to Buessinks after two other mechanics (..and $2500) had determined they had done all they could do and it would probably always shift hard. The guys at Beussinks worked on our Yukon and literally would not give up until they found the problem. And we still spent less with them than we did at either of the other two mechanics. Their team is professional and dedicated. Lesson learned....next time we will go there first.

I think everyone looks for that perfect old bargain car to drive back and forth to work. I thought I had that car. It had low miles and a elderly couple owned it, so it was clean and well maintained. I was getting along just fine for about 10,000 miles. One morning as I pulled into my work's parking lot, I heard some transmission noise and that was it. It would not move.
I had my old Taurus towed to Beussinks. Mike gave me an estimate. I decided to have them rebuild the transmission. While they had the transmission out Mike identified a problem with my cooling system. He suggested that it should

I had a transmission fluid leak on my service truck found last night. I was able to get the truck to Beussink's when they opened and Mike took a look and had the damaged hose repaired in no time. Being without a service truck is huge issue for us, so needless to say very impressed and appreciative. Thank you!
