As QuickBooks ProAdvisors, we operate QuickBooks on a daily basis for many small and medium-sized business clients and are well-versed in the features that are often underused. More simply, in the context of litigation, the term forensic means to be suitable for use in a court of law.

While there may be many business owners who will only want to continue to work with the 'big boys' of the business accounting arena, others should consider the 'boutique' business accountants. If you are a small business, with an annual turnover of $1M-$18M, then there are a few reasons why you should be looking to a boutique CPA firm for your business accounting and business advisory needs.
It's been almost two decades since I became a licensed CPA in Wisconsin after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Before becoming the sole owner of Strive Tax & Accounting, LLC, I have spent most of my career in public accounting specializing in small business and tax services, with a few short years dedicated to private industry as Controller and CFO.
As Valentine's Day approaches, Hallmark reminds us to recognize and acknowledge the relationship with our spouse, significant other, parents, children and close friends. But who reminds us to acknowledge, or even consider, the relationship we have with our CPA?

Each of us have different beliefs regarding what is important to us in our personal relationships; not only do we look for distinct personal qualities, we have different desires, needs, expectations, objectives and priorities within each relationship, and consequently, we put forth varying levels of effort in our attempt to achieve the relationship we want.
Bookkeeping is most simply defined as the occupation of keeping records of a business' financial affairs. Accounting is defined as an information science used to collect, classify, and manipulate financial data for organizations and individuals. Although accountants can perform bookkeeping tasks, bookkeepers can rarely, if ever, perform accounting tasks.

If I could redact my previous review I would. I would NOT recommend. We recently switched accountants to find a plethora of issues piled up that we had no knowledge of. Not placing blame on Cory, but she's been VERY unhelpful with giving us additional information we need to resolve issues that were created when we were her clients. She is now unresponsive and is refusing to give us information that we've already paid her for, which is unlawful to me. We've even offered to pay her hourly rate to receive paperwork from our client file and she is still unresponsive.

Cory is amazing! She really takes the time to make sure you understand everything she's doing. She's helped us build up our bookkeeping system and is helping us to prepare for what is to come in our business. We will never use another accountant!
